The next day…
Nik sat up, opening his eyes and looking around the tent quietly. He was hungry, he realized. He hadn't eaten in a while.

(Hey, I'm back, little uncomfortable since my class forced me into a sensory overload, but hey, it's fine. :P)
Eclipse was still asleep beside him, his face peaceful as he slept, unaware of the other's predicament.

(Hey. Ooh ouch, I'm sorry)

Nik shifted, and then lay back down, snuggling close to Eclipse. He didn't want to even try to get out of bed. He already knew he couldn't walk. He could tell by the dull, throbbing pain in his left leg that he wouldn't be walking for a while, if ever.

(Yeah… I'm okay now though…)
Eclipse wrapped his arms around the other again, stirring with a soft moan. as the other moved.

(Well that's good)

Nik looked at him. At Eclipse. His soulmate. I've brought so much trouble on him. He thought, running a hand through Eclipse's hair. And he's helped me.

Eclipse subconsciously nuzzled into his hand when the other ran his fingers through his hair, letting out a sigh of contentment as he started to wake up.

Nik rested his hand in Eclipse's hair, letting out a soft breath.

Eclipse eventually opened his eyes, yawning a little.

Nik looked at Eclipse, his golden eyes more dull than they had ever been before. but he was glad that Eclipse was awake and alive and alright.

Eclipse gavehim a soft smile, happy just to see he was there, "Hey love…" he said softly, pulling him closer, "How're you feeling?"

Nil shrugged a little. His stomach let out a growl. "Hungry." He replied quietly, snuggling close to Eclipse and looking up at him.

Eclipse smiled softly, "Do you want me to go get us food? Or do you want to come with me?" he asked softly.

Nik shrugged a little. "I-I don't think I can come with you." He replied softly. "I'm not sure my leg…" He bit his lip.

"You remember that I can carry you, right?" said Eclipse softly, "And there's still hope for your leg… not very much, but it's there."

Nik nodded a little. "Alright. I…I wanna come with you, then." He replied, pushing himself into a sitting position.

Eclipse nodded, yawning and sitting up, hugging him once before standing, then scooping him up. "Alright, now to find food." he said, smiling a little.

Nil held onto him securely, and nodded. "Alright." He replied, the corner of his mouth twitching faintly in a response to Eclipse's smile.

Eclipse hummed softly, cradling the other close to his chest as he headed out of the tent, and towards the common firepit.

Nik held onto him, looking around the camp. His black hair was matted and tangled, and he knew he probably didn't smell too great either.

Eclipse didn't care what the other looked or smelled like, more obvious than usual since he'd cuddled him all night. "We'll get you cleaned up as soon as we get food" he murmured.

Nik nodded a little. "Alright." As they came up to the food tent, Aron spotted them and came over, face lighting up when he saw Nik.
"Hey." He greeted. "How's it going?" He asked, smiling.

"Pretty good" said Eclipse cheerfully, "Any chance there's food about?" he asked, still holding Nik close to him.

Aron smiled. "Yeah, of course." He glanced at Nik again, and led them into the tent.
Nik gave a tiny smile at Aron. "Nice to see you again." He said quietly.
Aron nodded. "Yeah. You too."

eclipse followed Arron's lead with a nod, happy that Nik was smiling again. He wished he could just make everything better all at once, but that was impossible. So this would have to be enough..
