Killian grimaced. "Oh. Do you want some help?" he asked, looking at her.
Killian grimaced. "Oh. Do you want some help?" he asked, looking at her.
Jade shrugged. ”It's not the first time I've had to do this.” she told him as she took down the first aid kit and started cleaning the wound. ”Uh… Actually, could you get me… something strong to drink from the kitchen. I need to numb out the pain.” she asked shyly.
Killian nodded. "Alright." he headed into the kitchen, searching the cupboards.
”I think Sophie has some beer in the fridge.” she took him, though she wasn't really a fan of that beverage. ”But there should be a bottle of tequila in the back of the pantry, if you can find it.”
"Alright!" He called back. He dug through the pantry until he found what he was looking for.
Jade sighed as she threaded the suture needle and sterilized it with hot water and peroxide.
Killian came back with the drink. "Here." He said, setting it down.
“Thanks.” Jade said as she opened the bottle with her free hand and took two gulps from it.
Killian nodded. "You're welcome." he replied with a faint smile.
Jade smiled a little as she took a couple calming breaths before taking one last swallow and setting the bottle down. She held the needle just above her skin, ready to start… “First time doing this with an audience.” She chuckled softly. “You don’t have to watch if you don’t want to. It’s not very pretty.” She warned.
Killian shrugged. "I could help, if you like." He replied after a moment.
Jade looked at him, tilting her head slightly a little surprised by his offer. ”Uh… sure. Have you done stitches before?” she asked.
He nodded. "Yeah." He gave a tight smile.
“You look nervous.” She observed. ”Do you need a drink first too?”
He shook his head. "No, I'm good." He replied.
”Ok.” Jade shrugged, shifting her position on the edge of the tub. ”How do you want to do this?”
Killian shrugged a little. "I'll do whatever you want or need me to do." He replied
Jade nodded, turning her attention back to her leg. The bullet had just hit the outside instead of inside it… and it was a clean shot; no evidence of the actual bullet of fragments from it left behind. ”I don’t know what I need help with yet. But I’ll probably need help cleaning up once I’m done and getting to the couch after that.”
"Alright." Killian replied. "I can do anything you want me to." he sighed softly. "So just…let me know."
Jade blushed a little at his first comment but nodded. ”Ok. I will.” she agreed quietly, looking back at her leg and methodically started stitching the injury closed.
Killian watched for a moment, then looked away again, shaking his head a little bit. He didn't want to admit how worried he had been.
Jade kept the stitches small and neat so that it wouldn't scar or if it did it wouldn't be very noticeable to anyone who didn't know about it. She was relieved when she finished. There was something that seemed a little bit masochistic about piercing her own skin repeatedly with the needle. ”Uh, can you hand me the scissors?” she asked, a little embarrassed that she forgot to get them from the first aid kit.
Killian nodded, and handed her the scissors. "Here." he said with a faint smile.
”Thanks.” Jade smiled softly as she accepted them. Her blush darkened slightly at his smile before she quickly turned away, letting her hair fall forward to hide her face. She made sure the stitches were tight but not enough to rip and carefully cut the thread. Setting aside the needle and scissors, she picked up a clean cloth and ran half of it under steaming hot water before gently cleaning the blood away.
Killian nodded. "You're welcome."
Jade smiled a little more as she nodded acknowledging his comment but continuing to work on the task at hand. She had just finished dabbing the excess water away with the other side of the cloth and picked up the roll of gauze to wrap around her leg.
Killian let out a breath. "Need me to do anything?" He asked slowly, looking at her.
Jade cut the gauze to a decent length and looked at Killian. She was so used to doing this on her own but he looked so… awkward and nervous just standing there. ”Sure. I actually always struggle a little with this part since I only have two hands.” she smiled gesturing to the strip of gauze in her hand.
Killian laughed a little. "Alright. What do you want me to do, exactly?" He asked curiously. He reached forward to help.
Jade smiled, a little more relaxed despite the growing blush on her face as she handed him the gauze. “Can you just wrap this around my leg, over the stitches? I can fasten it if you hold it in place.”
