"It can be." Amelia admitted. She did enjoy navigating the land during her hunts, but that was very different to actually studying it. "Although during this time of year I'm afraid it can be dreadfully droll." She motioned to the snow around them, remembering at the last second that she wasn't wearing a coat out in the freezing temperatures. She had been too warm from her last feeding to notice the weather. Oops.
With that comment, Finn realized her lack of coat. Even with his light coat and warmer body temperature he was freezing. His mind raced thinking of all the things hse could be. He looked around at the few people around him. Debating on confronting her once they got to the cabin. What if he was wrong? She could just be used to the cold.
"Here we are!" Amelia grinned, stepping up the small stair to the front door if the cabin. She didn't bother to knock as she swept in the door, standing back so that Finn could follow her into the sparse room. "There is an empty cot just over there. Angela's is all the way down at the end. This cabin is mostly medics, so you should feel right at home." She showed him around, eyes glinting in the dim lighting. "My cabin is just next door."
(Mosey on in here Okay. So the Valley forge cabins were one rooms. They were small and cramped and most people slept on the floor.)
(Sorry Eris, I'd like to be as historically accurate as possible. Like, the ventaliation is terrable, no air holes in this waterbottle. )
Alex swallowed, and looked at the fallen woman on the desk. "Would you, er…like some help? I'm not a healer but I…can help in any way I can?" He said slowly. He wasn't sure Angela would let him help. Death and healing don't usually mix well.
(Thanks)
Finn nodded. "Thank you!" He said smiling wide. He looked around the cabin. He was just happy it was indoors. He was used to cramped tents. "I umm can I talk to you?" He was placed his bag down on a small table near the door. opening it up and looking through it for a second.
"I thought we were already talking." Amelia commented, that sly smile appearing once more on her face. She carefully kept her distance from the boy, but her gaze was sharp as she studied him. She stepped deeper into shadow and for a brief moment her features appeared to shift into something otherworldly. But as she tilted her head quizzically at Finn her features appeared human once more. Surely the odd occurrence was just an odd trick of the light.
Finn blinked at her. “I guess we are,” he said his smile growing. Taking some random things out of his bag acting like he was just going through it but really he had his hand wrapped around a silver coin. He just needed to find out a way to get her to touch it. “I was just wondering if you had any tips? It’s my first time in a big base.”
( @JyngerbreadAndStardust hey nerd, you still here?)
(Yeah, I've just been busy, sorry)
(No, It's fine. I've responded for your character btw.)
(Oh, I'm totally fine with that!)
(No, I mean like, I responded to your post, sorry. I wasn't clear XD)
(I'm not sure if I have the time to be in a roleplay right now, I'm sorry)
(Oh, it's fine. You can re join at any time.)
Amelia frowned thoughtfully, moving over to the window to look out at the base around them. She hummed as she considered her answer. "This place is far from a well oiled machine." Amelia finally said with a soft chuckle. "But I suppose just making sure that you keep your head down and work hard, you should be fine." She shrugged. If she were being honest, she didn't spend much time in the bases, she was usually off behind enemy lines, gathering as much information as she could, before she had to report back. Base life was as strange to her as anything else.
(Hey y'all, I'll be rebooting this!)
