Jade sighed and slowly started to open her eyes again, a slight blush on her face as her mind calmed down… though her heart was still racing. ”Thank you.” she whispered. ”I’m feeling much better now.” she smiled weakly.
Killian nodded. "Alright." he replied with a small smile. "That's good."
Her breathing returning to normal, she reached for her water with her free hand. ”I’m sorry you had to see me like that.” she said, embarrassed that he had seen her so weak. Sure, he had been there for her panic attack after Harbinger attacked her but this was different. ”I can't control that.”
Killian nodded. "It's fine, Jade. Don't worry about it too much." he replied with a smile.
Jade shrugged. ”Hard not to. It's my biggest… Uhh… it's a real problem for me. My brain is always working on something. Most of the time, I can ignore it… Other times; it's like I'm just along for the ride in a hurricane.” she explained, subconsciously still holding his hand.
"Ah. That really sucks, I'm sorry." he replied, shaking his head a little.
”Yeah… but I'm used to it. I don't like it and it never seems to get any easier but I'm used to it.” she said with a remorseful shrug.
Killian nodded a little. "Yeah. It still sucks, though. That you have to go through that."
”It can't be helped.” Jade sighed. ”It’s not like they make medicine for this sort of thing. And even if there is, I don't think taking it would do me any good.”
Killian sighed. "Yeah. I could…I wonder if I could do a spell that would help." he drummed his fingers for a moment, thinking. "I don't know if you want my spells doing anything to your head, though."
Jade smirked softly. ”Probably not but I appreciate the offer. Even if we don't know if it would work.”
Killian nodded. "Alright." he replied, running a hand through his dark hair, leaving it sticking up a little bit. "Offer still stands whenever you want."
”Thank you, Killian.” Jade smiled sincerely, giving his hand a gentle squeeze before she realized what she did. ”Oh! Uh… sorry.” she blushed as she pulled her hand back.
Killian laughed softly, and smiled. "Don't worry about it." he replied, pulling his own hand away after a moment.
Jade nodded softly, still blushing. ”Ok.” she said not looking at him.
Killian studied her for a long moment, then cleared his throat softly, glancing away.
Jade glanced at him for a moment when he cleared his throat but quickly looked away again, too embarrassed to speak just yet.
Killian sighed. "So…shall I pay now?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
Jade blinked and looked up at him. ”Oh. Yeah, we should probably do that.” she said, still a little dazed.
Killian smiled a little. "Alright. How do I do that?"
”Uh… At the front counter.” she told him before slowly standing up. ”You’ll probably need me to translate, right?”
Killian nodded. "Alright. And yes, I do. Sorry. We can wait, if you need?" He raised his eyebrows a little.
”No. It's ok. I'm fine.” Jade said. ”If you’re ready to go, I can translate for you.”
"Alright." Killian replied. He stood up and walked towards the front counter, waiting for her when he reached it.
Jade walked a little slower at first but as her head stopped spinning, about halfway to the counter, she was able to return to her more normal gait.
”你還好嗎. 你看起來有點蒼白.” Chen Xie pointed out, a little concerned.
”是的,我沒事.” Jade managed a soft smile. ”請給我們支票.”
Killian raised his eyebrows. "Translation?" He asked softly, eyes flicking between the older woman and Jade.
”I just asked her for the check.” Jade said not looking at him as Chen Xiu brought up the bill. ”謝謝.” Jade nodded.
"alright." Killian got out his wallet, thumbing through it.
Jade bit her lip briefly before pulling out her own wallet to pay for her half of check… plus her usual tip.
”他不是應該為您的約會付錢的人嗎?” Chen Xiu asked watching Jade’s actions.
Jade immediately blushed as red as her hair. ”不是約會! 我們只是朋友.” she argued.
Killian raised his eyebrows. "Uhm…translate? For those of us that don't speak Chinese?" he asked, blinking.
