"This whole day fucking sucks" he said, not sure whether he should be mourning or screaming or howling to the moon.

Nik huffed out a soft laugh. "Agreed." He replied, shaking his head a little as he leaned against Eclipse. "I'm sorry about all this."

"Don't apologize, it's not your fault." he said softly, wanting to hug the other.

Nik shrugged slightly. "I know. But I'm still sorry it all happened the way it did." He replied, glancing up at Eclipse with a soft, faint smile.

Eclipse nodded, "I'm sorry too… I just hope that someday in the future we can look back on it and laugh at the sucky day we've had…"

"I hope so too." Nik replied with a tiny smile. "I really hope so." He closed his eyes, resting his head on Eclipse's chest again. He could hear the other male's heartbeat.

"Hypothetical question for you" said Eclipse after a few moments of silence, "Just to make this sucky time interesting."

Nik chuckled softly. "Mm. Alright. Go ahead." He replied. He shifted, and winced slightly as the wound in his left leg gave a painful twinge.

"If we did ever get far enough in a relationship, which one of us would top?" he asked calmly, looking up at the stars through the trees above them.

Nik made a choking sound, turning red. "Uhm." He blinked, looking at Eclipse. "I uhm…I don't know. You? Or I can, I-I guess?"

Eclipse hummed, trying not to laugh, "Being absolutely serious here I have no clue why you're embarrassed, you're not the one who's almost clueless on the subject."

"Because I…I…you sprung the question on me in such a weird way!" Nik spluttered, shaking his head a little. "And…do you even know what you're asking, then, if…if you're clueless on it?"

"Clueless on execution my friend, but not entirely on the topic so yes I know what I'm asking." he said firmly, trying not to laugh, "I used to sneak away and hide in the upper lofts of the stables as a kid, and I didn't realize it at the time, but it was a dirty minded stableman that convinced me I wasn't entirely straight."

Nik raised an eyebrow. "Do I want to know what said stableman did?" he asked, looking up at Eclipse with a soft chuckle.

"Probably not" said Eclipse, bursting into genuine laughter at the thought, "But still, you never answered the question."

Nik raised an eyebrow again. "Which one?" he asked slowly. "The…top one? I don't know." he shook his head a little.

Eclipse hummed, shrugging a little, "Alright then." he said, figuring he'd give up on it for now. "You got any weird questions for me?"

Nik shrugged a little. "I…I don't know." he replied softly. He chuckled. "I mean…if we want to continue down the same line of questioning, I could ask if you've got any kinks." he smirked.

Eclipse hummed softly, "I honestly have no idea." he said softly, "Do you have any?"

Nik shrugged. "Depends on the partner." he replied. He chuckled quietly. "Depends on the mood I'm in." he shrugged again, closing his eyes and snuggling closer to Eclipse.

"Like?" prompted Eclipse curiously, smiling as the other snuggled closer, doing the same in return.

"Mm…sometimes a little bondage can be quite fun." Nik replied, smirking up at him. "With the right partner, of course. Mostly just that."

Eclipse hummed, "Interesting.." he said, softly, staring up into the trees again as he thought about it.

Nik frowned a little. "But only sometimes. Not all the time." he shrugged, watching Eclipse and hoping he hadn't just said the wrong thing.

Eclipse nodded, "Like I said, interesting." he said, "If we ever get that far you'll have to show me."

"I'm…better at being the one getting tied up, but alright." Nik replied with a laugh. He tried to ignore the shiver of anticipation that went through his body at the idea of doing…that…with Eclipse.

"Doubly noted" said Eclipse, "Guess I'll have to work on my knots as soon as we're out of our current pickle."

Nik chuckled. "I don't have to be tied up to enjoy it. It's just fun to do sometimes." He replied, stretching as best he could with the ropes on his body. "And just because I'm tied up doesn't mean I'm turned on. This, for instance, is not erotic."

"I was not implying that last statement, and if I did, man that'd be weird." he said rather quickly. "Never in my life would I consider this erotic… ever."
