Selina's smile grew and she looked over at him, "Thank you Frankie." Once again she went silent, her fingers drumming against the ground as she thought, "So, how long are you staying?"

He shrugged. ”I was planning on a week at least.” Though, now, he was hesitant on leaving that soon. ”But I have a lot of time cleared out for the whole season.” Should I tell her about what I had planned or should I ask if I could stay here longer?

"Are you visiting any of the other parks with your other time?" She asked, her mind already going as she tried to think of some beautiful places to recommend for him to see while he was here.

He smiled at her. ”Am I that obvious?” he chuckled. ”Yeah, the plan was to spend a week at every National Park statewide. Eventually, I’d like to visit the ones in Hawaii and Alaska as well, maybe even Canada, but for now it's just the ones that you can drive to.”

Selina laughed lightly and shrugged, "I had a hunch. You seem like the amazing person who would do that." Again, she tried to think of some good spots, eventually nodding, "I might be able to show you some places around this park if you're ever in the mood too before you leave."

Frankie smiled with a light blush at her calling him amazing again. He really didn't feel like he deserved to be called that. His smile brightened at her offer. ”Really? I would love that!” he said excitedly. ”Are you serious? You would do that for me?”

"Yeah I'm serious," She replied, laughing lightly, "It might take a little bit of work on my part, but I could probably do that."

He was practically beaming. ”Oh, thank you, Selina. That would be incredible.” his smile dropped slightly. ”You won't get into trouble over this? I mean, you already have an important job in your pack. As much as I enjoy spending time with you, I don't want to keep you from that.”

Selina bit her lip and shrugged, "I'm not sure. It's quite possible that i will get in trouble. But I want to at least try to see if I can get something together, since i enjoy spending time with you as well."

Frankie sighed softly but nodded. ”I… Thank you again, Selina.” he said unsure of what else to say. He really didn't want her to get into trouble with her Alpha but what right did he have to tell her no? It was her choice. Besides, he was very excited to see what she could show him.

"No problem," She replied gently, leaning back on her hands and listening to how quiet the forest was. She knew she should be getting back soon so no one worried, but she really didn't want to. A few more minutes wouldn't hurt anyway.

He smiled at her as she relaxed, completely amazed that he had made a friend all the way out here. And he had no doubt that her love for this place was deeper than his own. He chuckled softly at the thought since he never believed he would meet someone like that. ”Are you going to stay here a bit longer?”

Selina nodded, looking up at the sky, "Only for a few more minutes, then I have to leave for now." She wanted to stay here for much longer, but she couldn't without her pack getting suspicious.

Frankie smiled, happy to enjoy her company a bit longer. ”Ok.” he said softly. ”Hey, do you like chocolate? Er…Can you have chocolate?” he asked unsure.

"I can have chocolate, but only in human form," She replied, an excited smile breaking onto her face, "I adore it though, it's amazing."

”That’s good to know.” he matched her smile before reaching back and grabbing a few ingredients. ”Wanna have a s’more before you leave? I don't know if you've had one before but they're the best.”

Selina nodded, her smile staying on her face, "Sure, I've heard of them but I've never actually had one."

”Ok.” He smiled as he set the now open bag of marshmallows and graham crackers between them. ”I’ll teach you how to make them.” he offered, picking up a couple of long skewers. ”I do have the regular chocolate bars but if you want to try them, I also have chocolate peanut butter cups. Cora came up with this idea and it's actually really good.”

"I might have to try one of each," She suggested, a little jokingly. Selina watched him intently, trying to figure out what the steps were to make a s'more.

Frankie chuckled at her enthusiasm and handed her one of the skewers. ”That sounds like a great idea.” he smiled as he impaled a marshmallow. ”This is the fun part. You just don't want to get it too close to the fire or you can burn the marshmallow. My dad has this running joke about actually catching it on fire every time.”

She laughed, grabbing one of the marshmallows and copying what he did by impaling the marshmallow, "So, I just hold it over the flames?"

”Uh-huh. And you’ll want to turn it a bit every so often so the whole thing turns light brown.” he nodded before turning to watch his carefully. ”It still tastes good if you get it a little dark, so don't worry about it too much. You just don't want to turn the marshmallow into a fireball.”

She followed his lead and stuck her marshmallow above the flames, rotating it and turning it so it didn't burn, "So, do you make s'mores often?"

Frankie chuckled. ”Not very often. I have made them in the microwave once or twice but they're the best over an open flame like this.” he smiled. ”One time when I was a kid, I tried to make a fire in the backyard to make them… Oops! Thankfully, dad caught me before I did any damage.”

Selina laughed and glanced at him, "A least you got a chance to try, even if you weren't supposed to be doing it." Her marshmallow had turned a light golden brown and she pulled it away from the fire, studying it and looking over at Frankie to see if she had done it right.

”Yeah, but I didn't get my fire safety badge for a couple of weeks after.” he chuckled. ”Hey! Yours looks really good.” His marshmallow was a little darker than hers. He stuck the handle of his skewer into the ground and held out a graham cracker and a piece of chocolate for her. ”Here. Just put the marshmallow on the chocolate.”

She smiled with a bit of pride and nodded, trying to find a way to get the marshmallow off the skewer without burning herself. Eventually she succeeded though and put the marshmallow on the graham cracker and chocolate before taking the whole thing from Frankie with a smile.

Frankie smiled as he helped her a little. ”A masterpiece. Enjoy!” he chuckled before assembling his own with a peanut butter cup. ”Now you might want to be careful. It's a little hot and the chocolate melts as you eat it.”

"It's not that hot," She said, already taking a massive bite out of the gooey mess with a smile. Selina's smile grew and she quickly finished the bite before talking, "This is now my favorite human food that I've tried, I understand now why people always talk about making these while they camp."

”I’m glad you like it.” He chuckled happily before taking a bite of his with a hum of contentment. ”Yeah, it's kind of like an unspoken tradition. Almost every time people go camping these are pretty much expected.” he explained. ”Though, I did know this one guy in Boy Scouts who only ate the marshmallows straight from the bag.”
