Zack snapped back to reality, his mind resolved.
"Nothing but a small clue, Mr. Gold. I need Emma to help me with it, though. Have you seen her around?"

"She's in the girl's dorm, but I'll send her down if you want," (gtg, bye)

Zack sighed, smiling a fake smile to signify sarcastic dissapointment, "That'd be great, sir." (See ya around.)

(Ruby will be eating strawberries if anyone needs her.)

Aidan sighed heavily once he saw that no one else was in the room, which was a big mistake because it made his wound sting more. Why are you even surprised. Mom and dad don't care, why should anyone else. He needed to get out of here. Hospitals freaked him out.

Emma ran down the stairs. "Ruby! Ruby! I found something…" She trailed off as she noticed Zack and Mr. Gold in the hallway.
"Ah, there she is," Mr. Gold said pleasantly. "I'll leave you two to talk,"

“Room 417.” The person at the front counter finally said after a lot of convincing.
“Thanks.” Ruby smiled, turning and walking to room 417.

Ruby walked up to the door. 417 Ruby took a deep breath and sighed, she knocked on the door.

Zack gave Emma a hard look, then jerked his head in a gesture for her to follow. He began down the chemistry hall, not looking to see if she followed. Vix would make sure of that.

"So what are you?" He asked.

"What do you-" Sam started, a look of perfect confusion on their face, then glanced briefly at Zack's hand on the wall. "Fuse!" they yelled, and ran off. The fusion would only be temporary, but it would buy them enough time before Zack got loose and warned everyone. They tapped their pink watch twice, and pressed down on the glass lightly until the face of the clock shimmered and turned into a mini screen with someone on the other end. "Jasper, mission abort!" they whisper-yelled, heading towards the doors.

Zack cursed as his hand, which had been gliding along the wall, suddenly got caught. He glanced at it, and found it stuck to the wall. Vix growled, and only then did he see Emma running off, tapping at her watch.

Zack whistled a one-two one pattern, and Vix ran off after Emma, quickly closing ground on her.

Sam looked back to see Vix, and they desperately ran faster. Suddenly, Jasper appeared in front of them, grabbing their wrist, and the two disappeared.

After two minutes of trying to get his hand free, it finally came loose, seemingly of its own accord. Zack unsheathed his daggers and ran after Vix, certain that she had slowed Emma down to the point where Zack could catch her.

Vix met him halfway, her head hung in dissapointment.

"What's the matter girl?" Zack asked, kneling down to scratch behind her ear, "Where's Emma?"

In response, Vix turned and led Zack to a spot in the middle of the hall. She circled the spot and sat.

Emma was gone. She had been there, and then she hadn't been there. Cursing, Zack dialed Ruby and waited as the ringer went on.

Ruby reached for the door knob when the her phone went off. She pulled it out of her tiny girl pocket. (D:<). Who is this number? “Hello?”

"Ruby?" Zack prompted, "Did Emma just show up near you? Where are you?"

“At the hospital.” Ruby answered, taking a step back from the door, “Is this Zack? And what about Emma?”

Zack sighed, annoyed and relieved at the same time, "Yeah, it's me, Zack. Is Emma with you? She was just with me, and then she vanished,"

“Emma’s not with me.. Emma doesn’t have teleportation.”

"Well, she's got something. Vix can't trace her, and I can't find her." Zack started toward his room, still with his phone pressed to his ear. "I need her found and comtained if you do see her. I was right."

“Contained? Right about what?” Ruby asked, furrowing her eyebrows. Still standing next to the door.

Zack took a deep breath, trying to think properly, "Emma isn't on our side here. She's been trying to start fights and bring us closer to war from the start. She doesn't even exist in the Illeyitome Archive."

Aidan carefully stood up, cursing quietly to himself. "Sh** that hurts…" He slowly opened the door, making sure that no one was outside it before making his way out of the sterile hospital.

“Wait what.” Ruby said, and saw the hospital door slowly open.

Aidan nearly bumped into Ruby as he left the hospital. "Sh**. Ruby, you scared me."

“Oh hey Aidan, I don’t think you should be walking.” Ruby said, lowering her phone.

"Too bad. You're not in charge of me." Aidan's voice was some what whiny, probably a side effect of the medication that was making him drowsy.
