Archer smiled. “Yeah, I’m old, I know. I am a ghost.” He wondered how his clothes hadn’t clued the other in on the fact that Archer was about six times his age.

@GoblinKing

"Well, I knew that! It's just.. I don't know- Motherfucker! Can you drive?!" He barked aggressively at the car that had merged in front of them without using their signal. "Good god!"

@MusicElle-is-here

Archer chuckled. “Does driving always make you this angry?” he asked, slightly nervous himself. The road was so much more crowded then he remembered, and the cars much different. He really needed to get out more.

@GoblinKing

"Just this asshole right here." If he were in his wolf form, Klaus' hackles would've been raised and bristling. "Where the fuck did he get his license, clown college? Goddamn, it's like he got his eyes cut out and decided today would be a nice time to flex those brand new marbles in his head."

@MusicElle-is-here

Archer raised his eyebrows. He wasn’t used to road rage. Or rage in general, as he tended to avoid conflict. Besides, riding in a car was making him a bit anxious.

“Well, you certainly are creative with your insults, I’ll give you that,” he said.

@GoblinKing

"Thank you, thank you. I like to think I'm like.. the Van Gogh of insults. Some people have music, some people have painting, I have.. tearing dipshits on the freeway a new one with my quick wit and charm."

@MusicElle-is-here

“How inspiring,” Archer remarked, teasing. At least that was helping him to not concentrate on the cars. So many cars. “Too bad they can’t hear your variety of insults. I’m sure they would be impressed.”

@GoblinKing

“I mean- I can roll down the window? But then the air pressure in here gets all fucked up and I get a headache. Not worth it, but I feel sorry for them.” He pulled into the parking lot, hopping out of the car to wait for Archer.

@MusicElle-is-here

Archer opened the passenger side door and got out, closing it like a normal person so that no one would think he was suspicious or anything. Suddenly the idea of going into the store seemed like a lot. Almost too much. He glanced around at the other cars in the parking lot and at the store itself, the technology still somewhat foreign to him, and all of the people who could potentially see him and freak out. He tried to take a deep breath to calm himself down, hoping that Klaus didn't think he was a total weirdo.

@MusicElle-is-here

"Yeah…yeah, I'm fine," he responded weakly, taking another breath. "It's just…this is sort of the first time I've gone out in public in a very long time. I'm just nervous."

@GoblinKing

“Oh.. dude, you’ll be fine, okay? It’s Walmart, people don’t give a shit here.” He gave him a reassuring (but lopsided) grin, kicking at some loose gravel from the parking lot. “Besides, no time like the present to start going back outside.”

@MusicElle-is-here

Archer took another breath. “You’re right…” he agreed, still seeming anxious but trying to brave it. He swallowed and nodded. “Okay, okay, let’s go then.”

@GoblinKing

Klaus started through the parking lot, hands in his pockets. "I still don't know what we're supposed to get. Play it by ear, I guess."

@MusicElle-is-here

Archer shrugged. “That works. I think I know some things that the others eat.” His eyes still darted around anxiously and he was fidgeting, but otherwise more or less okay now.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Eh, sometimes I notice, especially if it’s something that I used to like,” he commented. “Besides, the grocery store has normal food, right? So it’s not like they can’t eat the food there. As far as I know none of them are allergic to dairy or anything.”

@GoblinKing

"Right, right. Are we out of peanut butter? I normally keep track of that, but I guess I forgot." He walked in through the automatic doors, looking at Archer. "Even if we're not.. still good to know you have more than you need, right?"

@MusicElle-is-here

“Whoa…these doors are so cool,” Archer exclaimed, staring at automatic doors in awe. “And yeah, good thinking. Better to have extra than not enough.”

@GoblinKing

"They're just auto- oh yeah, you haven't seen 'em before. I like 'm a lot better, they're good 'cause I don't like to take the carts out the store, so I don't need to figure out how to open the door with grocery bags." He nodded as he spoke, seemingly in agreement with himself as he did so.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Wow…all of this technology makes me feel so out of touch,” he mumbled, glancing at the doors again in wonder. “It sounds nice though. It’s kind of fun.” He grinned.

@GoblinKing

"It's pretty nice. Convenience 'n all that jazz." Klaus started towards the produce section, getting a plastic bag or two for food.

@MusicElle-is-here

Archer followed curiously, trying not to look so much like he had never seen a modern grocery store before, though it was apparent that acting was not his strong suit. “Mmm,” he responded, unsure exactly how to reply. He studied the different, everyday technology, still looking baffled by it. “This is astounding.”

@GoblinKing

"I guess it is. I didn't really think about it like that b'fore.. how'd you get food when you were..?" He winced a little at his own question as he thought over it. "If yer comfr'ble with talkin' about it, sorry if I'm pryin'."

@MusicElle-is-here

“You mean before I was a ghost? It was actually a curse…” he admitted, turning back to look at Klaus for a moment. “Anyway, grocery stores existed, but it wasn’t the same. There weren’t really popular yet, so there were these things called country stores. Or if you were wealthy, you could get a maid or butler to do it.” He shrugged. “So I get the concept, it’s mostly the modern technology that is so foreign to me.”

(lol that may not be super historically accurate but i tried)

@GoblinKing

(Ah, it's alright! Getting that info can be tough as shit sometimes)

"Curse.. damn, sorry, dude. But that's interestin', the whole country store thing. I keep forgettin' people had maids 'n shit."

@MusicElle-is-here

Archer laughed. “I understand that. I was never affluent enough to afford one,” he said offhandedly. “But the world is a lot different now, and honestly it’s a tad scary, if I’m being honest.”

@GoblinKing

"Doesn'seem like a whole lot were." He blinked, trying to think over Archer's statement. "Well.. yeah, I guess so? Never thought of it as scary, just.. y'know. Earth. Hey, do these blueberries look okay to you?"

@MusicElle-is-here

“They look fine,” he said, studying them quickly. They looked delicious, but he couldn’t feel hunger and even if he could, the blueberries would go right through him. He realized that he actually missed being able to eat. “What else should we get?”
