"A secret." Killian replied with a smirk, winking at her. He hummed softly.
"A secret." Killian replied with a smirk, winking at her. He hummed softly.
”That sounds intriguing.” Jade smiled, raising a brow. ”Deal.”
”I’m glad to see you two getting along again.” Sparky smiled softly as they approached.
Killian grinned. "We're only getting along because I told her I would tell her a secret." He replied, winking.
”That’s not the only reason and you know it.” Jade smirked at Killian. ”Sparky, I’m sorry I snapped at you earlier.” she said embarrassed.
”I was not offended, miss, but I’ll accept your apology.” The hologram smiled.
Killian chuckled softly. "Yes, I do know it." he replied with a laugh.
“Well, I’m glad to hear that.” Jade nodded. ”Maybe you should power off for a bit. You don't have to burn yourself out, Sparky.”
He shrugged. ”I can function normally for a bit longer, miss, but if you insist I can rest until you need me.”
Killian watched them, cocking his head a little. He was still rather curious about Sparky, but he figured he could ask more later.
”Your choice. But we still need to be able to get you home after.” Jade reminded him.
Sparky nodded before looking at Killian. ”I suspect you’ll want another ride.” he winked.
Killian laughed. "Mhm." he replied. "I can't help it, you're nice and fast!" he grinned cheekily at Sparky, laughing.
Sparky returned the look shamelessly. He didn't understand why humans got so flustered over this sort of thing. ”Then I’d better save some of my energy.” he chuckled.
Jade rolled her eyes at the display. ”I never thought I’d make something that could flirt like this.”
Killian laughed, then looked at Jade. "Hm? Oh, alright." he replied with a chuckle. He shook his head a little. "He learned it from me."
”He must have.” Jade agreed, silently acknowledging her inability to flirt well. Quips and banter? No problem. Flirting? Not so much.
”I’ll see you guys later.” Sparky smiled before his hologram disappeared and the headlights turned off.
Killian chuckled. "Aren't you glad I'm such a good teacher?" he asked teasingly, looking at her with a mischievous smirk.
Jade rolled her eyes. ”I suppose he could have had worse.” she conceded. ”Do you still want to spar right now? Or should we put it off until you’re more healed?”
Killian chuckled. He sighed. "I'm good. Just…try not to punch the burned spot, alright? That's all i ask." he replied, looking at her.
Jade nodded. ”I can do that.” she promised. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I can actually test that feature on him after all… I didn't make it to use on him anyway.
Killian nodded a little. "Alright. Then…what are we sparring with?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. "Fists, weapons, what?" he asked.
”Fists are fine. I didn't bring any of my stun weapons.” she pointed out. She usually preferred not to use serious force when she fought. And guns were absolutely out of the question… especially now.
Killian nodded. "Alright. I'm not going to sweat in this shirt, because I'll still have to wear it later, so." he pulled the shirt off and set it aside, checking the bandage.
Jade blushed a little as he removed his shirt, having not expected it. She had already seen the scars on his arms and he had mentioned the burn but… She couldn't help as her eyes wandered over his form.
Killian didn't notice that she was blushing, too busy lifting the edge of the bandage and peeking under it to check on the burn. His arms weren't the only part of him that was scarred; most of his body bore marks in some way or another.
Jade bit her lip to keep from sighing. Seeing the scars didn't bother her. She had her fair share from fighting as a hero. It was part of the job. But was did bother her, at least a little, was what he said before… about his father. How many of those scars are from him? ”H-how’s the burn?” she asked softly.
Killian looked up. "Hm? Oh, I uhm…fine. Thanks." He replied, standing straight again, dropping his hands away from the bandage. "I'm good."
Jade nodded. ”Are you sure you want to do this? I don't mind waiting.” she offered, a little uncomfortable with the thought of hurting him when he was already injured.
"Nah, we're good." Killian replied. "Like I said, just…be careful."
”I will.” she promised, unsure if she’d be able to fight without pulling her attacks. It was just a sparring match but…
Killian fidgeted for a moment. "Alright. Should we…get started?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
Jade nodded and slid into her familiar defensive stance. She very rarely made the first offensive move in a fight.
Killian mimicked her a little, falling into his own defensive position, his fists raised. "I'm assuming no magic is allowed?"
She smirked. ”I don't mind if you use a little bit of magic. I’m used to fighting against that anyway. Just don't strain yourself.” she winked
