Aria led her into a coffee shop, and into the line. "So, what do you want to get?" She asked with a smile.
Aria led her into a coffee shop, and into the line. "So, what do you want to get?" She asked with a smile.
“I’m not sure…I’ve never had coffee before. What do you recommend?” Seren asked looking up at the menu.
"Hmm, well do you like cold drinks or warm drinks better?" Aria asked with a smile.
“Um cold ones.” Seren answered after thinking for a quick moment.
"Hm. A frappechino?" She suggested, raising her eyebrows at Seren a little.
"That sounds interesting, sure!" Seren replied clapping her hands together. Three days in the human world and she had already met a really nice girl got some cute socks and is trying a frappechino!
Aria smiled. "Alright. What flavor? Caramel, Chocolate, Strawberry?" She looked at Seren with a smile.
"Ooh! I've heard of chocolate! I've heard it's really good, so chocolate please." Seren replies.
Aria blinked in surprise, then smiled. "Yeah, sure."
Seren smiles, "Thanks. Also thanks again for those socks earlier, that was really nice of you."
Aria smiled. "You seemed pretty distraught, so…" They moved up in line.
"Um yeah, I had never ran into a place that doesn't accept sand dollars as a proper payment…" Seren sighed.
Aria raised a curious eyebrow. "…I see." She said after a moment.
"Can we sit outside or by the water when we get our coffees?" Seren asked, "I really love the ocean, it um feels like…home." She added the last part more quietly.
"Yeah, sure." He replied with a laugh.
"Awesome, thanks." Seren smiled happily and looked at the line, they were up next.
Aria smiled back. "You're welcome." She replied with a shrug.
Seren smiled fondly at Aria and began to think to herself, the ocean, how everyone was doing down there, why sand dollars weren't a proper payment…important questions like that..
Aria ordered for them, and then paid. She led the other girl over to wait for the drinks.
Seren followed her, watching the baristas begin to make the coffee.
Aria smiled a little. "These will be great, I promise."
“I bet they will be, it smells good so that gives me hope.” Seren responded.
Aria smiled a little. Their drinks arrived, and she handed Seren hers. "Here."
“Thank you.” Seren took it in her hands and took a sip, “Wow! It’s really good!”
Aria smiled, and drank some of her own. "You're welcome." She replied. "Come on, you said you wanted to sit at the water?"
Seren nodded, "Yes. Let's go." She outlast the door into the long boardwalk. She walked down the brick steps leading to the beach and waited for Aria to catch up.
Aria nodded, and followed her with a smile. She had her bag slung over one shoulder, and kept a protective hand on it.
Seren found a small bench near the water and sat down, motioning for Aria to come over and hurry up.
Aria sat down beside her quickly, smiling a little. "Hey." She greeted.
"Hey," Seren responded after taking another drink of her frappe, "The sun is setting to set, look…" She looked out over the ocean, it's calming waves sparkling with beautiful colors of the darkening sky. Pinks, reds, purples, and several other colors blended together in the sky to look like a masterful painting.
