Hex was gone, no longer onscreen. Flame was unconscious, though unharmed. The reporter was babbling onscreen about it, though she didn't seem to have anything worthwhile to add to it.

”Look I know you have that project about heroes and villains you're always working on but you need a life.” Sophie pointed out.
”I might go out later.” Jade said to placate her roommate as she grabbed her laptop and headed to her room. ”I need to make a phone call first.”
Hex headed home. Once there, he took off his mask and shirt, examining the spot on his side where Flame had gotten him. He winced. The skin was burnt, bleeding a little, the skin blackened. He sat down, trying to think of what to do.
Jade made sure her door was closed before dialing Killian’s number. She knew the fight wasn't too far from Killian’s house. Please pick up. she bit her lip as the phone rang.
Killian took the call. "Hello?" he said easily, putting the phone on speaker as he looked for some bandages and supplies to take care of the burn.
”Are you hurt? I saw the news.” Jade asked, skipping over the introduction on the call.
"Ah. I'm fine." Killian replied. "Burned, but fine." he shrugged a little, and kept working on the burn.
Jade let out a small sigh of relief as she heard that. ”What started the fight? Do you need any help?”
(Flame isn't one to start a fight just because he wants to; he has legitimate reasons.)
(i know. I just needed a name and that was one I decided to steal. It's not the same Flame as yours, i promise)
"I have no idea what started it…I was in my suit, though, so maybe he thought I was about to strike somewhere." Killian shrugged.
(Ah, ok. That's cool! Lol)
(lol I wouldn't steal an entire character like that, i promise)
Jade rubbed her forehead in annoyance. ”Hothead. If you were going to hit anywhere, you wouldn't just walk.” she stated, much more familiar with his usual M.O. ”I’m glad you're ok, at least.” She told him.
Killian shrugged. He hissed between his teeth as a jolt of pain shot through him from the burn. "Yeah." He said through gritted teeth.
Jade winced sympathy at the familiar noise. ”That sounds painful. How bad is it?” she was hoping she would be able to help since a hospital was out of the question.
"Eh, not that bad. I'm fine. Just bandaging it up right now." Killian replied.
”Ok.” Jade nodded, unsure of what else to say. She didn't want to pepper him with twenty questions, she mostly wanted to make sure he was alright.
He hissed softly again as he finished up the bandage. "Done." He let out a breath, sitting down. He shook his head a little.
Is this awkward? I don't know what say aside from more questions. Jade sighed. ”That’s good.” she finally said.
Killian smiled a little. "Yeah, thanks." He let out a breath. "Why did you call?" He asked curiously.
Jade blushed, glad he couldn't see it. ”I wanted to make sure you were ok. I know you can handle yourself but… I guess I just wanted to hear you say it.” she admitted a little hesitantly.
Killian chuckled. "I'm fine." He barely refrained from making a flirty remark about how she could come over and see just how fine he was. The corner of his mouth lifted in a smirk.
”Good.” Jade smiled, as she laid on her bed. ”Can I ask you one more thing?” she wondered a bit shyly.
Killian shrugged. "Yeah, go ahead." He replied, leaning back in his seat and being as careful as possible not to irritate the wound.
”What did you say to Flame before you left?” she asked, curiously but soft enough that Sophie wouldn't overhear. ”The news didn't pick it up.”
"Oh. Nothing important." He replied with a chuckle. "Don't worry about it."
Jade rolled her eyes with a light laugh. ”You threatened him, didn't you?” she teased, not surprised if he said yes.
Killian smirked. "You know me too well." he replied with a chuckle. "Of course I did."
Jade chuckled. ”Well, we have known each other for how long now?” she smirked. ”I like to think I know your style pretty well. Any chance of you telling me which one you used?”
"Mmm…nah." Killian replied. "I'm not telling you all my secrets, oh miss Jade." He chuckled.
