Killian nodded. "Mhm. That's because I beat his ass to kingdom come." he grimaced. "Maybe I should have killed him instead." he muttered, raking a hand through his hair.
Killian nodded. "Mhm. That's because I beat his ass to kingdom come." he grimaced. "Maybe I should have killed him instead." he muttered, raking a hand through his hair.
Jade looked at him in concern. ”Why would you? At the time you had no reason to and you’ve never actually killed anyone before. So why suddenly so eager?” she asked.
Killian cocked an eyebrow. "One, how do you know I've never killed anyone before? Two, because he's a predatory, rapist asshole." He replied.
Jade stood and faced him. ”Well, I'm not disagreeing with your second point except to say it was only attempted. I'm not excusing his actions by any means but I got away in time.” she countered gently. ”As for your first… I guess I should have specified that you've never murdered someone. Self-defense and accidental don't always count in my opinion.”
Killian shrugged. "Mm." Was his only response, looking around the room again. He sighed softly. "What now?" He asked, changing the subject.
Jade echoed his sigh and ran her fingers through her hair. ”I'm not sure. We've been at this almost all day… Maybe we should take a break?” she suggested.
He nodded. "Alright. And do what?" He replied, looking over at her with raised eyebrows. His eyes were still dark, though not as dark as they had been a few minutes ago.
Jade shrugged thoughtfully. ”If I had some civilian clothes that would fit you… I’d say we could get lunch. I don't often think very well on an empty stomach.” she smiled with a light chuckle.
Killian shrugged. "I can summon some of my own, if you want." He replied, looking over at her. "Or I can just use magic and disguise these as normal clothes."
Jade chuckled biting back a bad fairy godmother joke. ”Whatever you feel comfortable with. I'm going to get changed.” she told him walking towards the back of the Den. ”No peeking!” she couldn't resist calling back.
Killian smirked. "Who, me? Peek?" He replied, laughing softly. "Where am I supposed to get changed?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
”Anywhere. I'm not gonna look.” Jade smirked. ”I do have an old shower that I use as a changing area. Your welcome to use it once I'm done.” she offered as she picked out an outfit.
Killian nodded. "Alright. I will." He replied, sitting down in her chair and spinning around in it.
Jade chuckled and quickly started changing into a more casual dark green top and jeans. She wasn't the type of girl to wear skirts most of the time, though she had worn dresses on occasion.
Killian waited for her to finish, spinning around in the chair still. He started humming softly, that same song from earlier.
Jade smiled at hearing the familiar tune. She had only heard it twice… Well, three times including when he sang, but she had to admit that she really liked the song. She grabbed a light jacket and walked out to see him. She didn't even notice she had softly joined in.
(gtg to bed now. Good night!)
Killian looked up when she joined in. He stuttered for a moment, then kept singing. He grabbed his stuff, and headed into the changing room, still singing.
Jade smiled at him as they walked passed each other, though she blushed lightly as she realized what she was doing that had caused him to stop for a moment. She closed the files on her computer and typed in a command to put Sparky in civilian mode as well.
Killian closed the door, and kept singing as he got changed. He came back out after a few minutes, his dark hair a bit messy. He wore a navy button up shirt, and slightly worn jeans. His suit was slung over his arm. "Ready." He said.
”I’m ready if you are.” Jade smirked as she looked him over. ”Do you have anywhere, in particular, you want to go?”
Killian nodded, then shrugged. "I'm good with just about anywhere." He replied with a shrug, looking over at her with a small smile. His eyes were back to their normal green now.
Jade smiled at seeing his eyes back to normal. They looked so nice… any color really but the dark made her worry. She nodded and shrugged on her jacket. ”Personally, I can't decide between Chinese or pizza, right now.” she admitted, arching a brow as she silently asked his opinion.
"Ooh, pizza sounds good." He replied with a grin, walking towards the motorcycle. "I mean, Chinese is fine too, but I want pizza." He chuckled softly, looking over at her.
”Pizza it is.” Jade smiled in agreement before laughing a little. ”Hold on a second, hotshot. You'll need to leave the earpiece and the bug here.” she reminded him as she walked over to the very normal-looking bike. ”Can you drive a motorcycle?”
Killian sighed, setting the bug and earpiece down. "Fine. And yes." He replied, stopping and looking back at her. "Let's go, I'm hungry!"
Jade nodded and stood next to the bike before tossing the keys to him. ”Waiting on you, Killian. Don't worry, all the ”special features” are locked unless I override it.” she smirked almost coyly. She did have a reason for letting him drive. It was for the simple fact that it looked more normal.
Killian chuckled, and caught the keys, getting on. "Aww, that's no fun." He waited for her to get on, then started it, listening to the motor start.
Jade smirked and grabbed a garage door opener and clicked it twice as she slid onto the back of the bike. The elevator turned on and raised them back to the garage. Once there, she quickly flipped off the fuse switch and put the small remote into a purse she slung over her shoulder. Deciding he looked, and acted, like the kind of guy who wouldn't bother with a helmet most of the time, she put on a clip-on ”half” helmet and wrapped her arms around his middle.
Killian shifted a little. Once they were in the garage, he brought the bike into motion, sending it speeding out the open door. He grinned. "This thing's got some moves!" He exclaimed as he drove.
Jade smiled proudly and tightened her grip slightly. ”Thanks. Did a lot of the work myself.” she reminded him as he likely already knew that. ”Just try to drive mostly legally.” she warned with a chuckle.
