Lilith had been peacefully flying around the top of the forest, looking for a place to settle for the night. Suddenly a group of hunters came out of nowhere. Chattering amongst themselves, one of them raised their weapon and shot her, straight in the wing. She let out a cry of pain and flew away from them, to no avail. They continued to chase after her, and fired shot after shot. Eventually, the injuries were to much, she crash landed in the middle of the forest, in the midst of a clearing. She let out a large roar, in an attempt to scare them away. Lucky for her, they ran, not wanting to be eaten.
Amber put the tarp on the wood before hearing a large and then a bellowing roar. She winced. ”That sounds too close for comfort.” She thought to herself as she looked out into the forest. She shook her head to snap out of the gaze before starting to run about, quickly cleaning up a few more things as it started to sprinkle.
Almost like a cat, Lilith started licking one of her wounds in her wing trying to clean it. She let out a sharp pain of agony upon her tongue's contact with the open wound. It hurt, but it was necessary. She could taste the sharp, metallic tang of blood as it went down her throat. Losing her balance, she stumbled to the ground. (Sorry for the short reply, I gtg now.)
(Its good!)
Amber flinched when she heard a cry out in the woods. What was that? Was it an animal? The dragon? She stared off into the woods again, not able to see anything anymore as it was now down pouring. She started debating with herself whether she should go check or not.
As the rain set in, Lilith flinched, letting out another cry in pain. Tucking in her wings, she slowly got to her feet and lumbered as fast as she could, without hurting herself further and tried to move for cover. Her injuries wouldn't let her go pain-free, though, and she stumbled as she went.
Amber heard lumbering and cries of pain that made her almost want to run inside but she slowly started walking into the woods.
(I'm just going to say about five feet tall at the shoulders.)
The cold made her shiver, her scales not insulating her much, now that she had open wounds. She whimpered, but caught herself and forced her to swallow, not making any more noise. What if humans had heard her? She didn't want another encounter with humans.
Amber kept walking. She found it odd that it suddenly went quiet. Had it left? She shivered at a thought that it could be hunting her and decided to not think of that.
(I'm going to say around 6-7 feet)
She ducked further into the shadows as she heard the light footsteps of… another creature, perhaps. Hopefully it wasn't a human, but just in case.
Amber walked farther into the clearing. She looked around but couldn't see any thing so she turned around to head back.
Lilith could feel a sneeze incoming, but her sensitive feet picked up the smallest vibrations of a creature moving around nearby. She sucked in her breath, hoping it would work, and peeked out from within the shadows. A human. Her nostrils tickled, and unable to hold it in anymore, she let out a tiny sneeze. If one was expecting it, they might've thought it was cute, as it wasn't loud, and it didn't splatter anything anywhere. Just a small one. She made a really adorable noise, and Lilith quickly ducked back into the shadows, her muscles tensed, ready to run in case the human came to investigate.
Amber jumped when she heard a sneeze. It almost sounded like a kitten sneeze. She crept a little closer to the noise, thinking it was a cat. She looked around before spotting Lilith, causing her to gasp and back up rather quickly.
Lilith flinched immediately at the sound of Amber's gasps. She turned around, ready to flee, but she hissed in pain, the movement a little too sudden for her injured leg. It looked like she was going to be able to run, but she could fight… maybe. Her injuries hurt a lot, but she didn't like humans. Instead, Lilith just crouched down and curled up into a small ball, whimpering. Maybe if she acted hurt the human wouldn't injure her, or move away.
Amber heard the hiss and assumed it was going to attack her. She backed up quicker but tripped when there was a dip in the soil. She lpoked back up at the dragon and saw it curled into a ball.
Lilith refused to look up, in fear that the human might have dangerous intentions. She never liked humans, and every single cell in her screamed at her to move, move, move, and run, run, run. But in her current condition, she was in no state to go anywhere, given her injuries.
Amber just stared at her. It was curled up. Why? Was it hurt? A defense mechanism? She backed up a little more, just in case it decided to attack her.
Lilith gathered up all the courage she had and peeked one eye up at Amber, and immediately gave a squeak of terror and buried her head in her stomach again, like she'd been doing.
Amber slowly stood up and started to walk towards. "I have a death wish." She mumbled aloud.
One of Lilith's ears perked up. Death wish? What? Slowly raising her head, she looked at Amber, who seemed to coming closer to her. She got up to a crouch and slowly backed away, her hackles rising.
Amber froze when Lilith moved, not wanting to scare or provoke her. The rain had let up a little bit so the two could see each other better. "I-It's alright." She said softly.
She growled softly, as a warning. She was in no condition to attack, nor flee like she wanted to. The only thing she could do was give a warning and she felt helpless. She didn't like this feeling. Lilith just wanted the human to go away. The only thought in her brain was, Run run run run run.
Amber froze and stayed that way this time. She wanted to help it but it clearly did not want her near it. "I-I'm not going to h-hurt you." She said, not even sure if it could understand her.
