”Please tell me.” Jade whispered. She needed to know who it was. She needed to stop him from doing this again, if that was his plan. What if it wasn't? What if she was the only target? But why would… One step at a time, Jade. One step at a time.

Jade nodded, slowly. ”I’ve heard of him. A bit of a glory hound, thinks he's more charming than he really is.” she let out a shaky breath. ”I did meet him once. He tried to flirt with me right off the bat. It was very uncomfortable for me.”

Jade laughed lightly. ”I saw that fight on the news. I have never rooted for a hero to lose a fight that badly before.” she smiled. ”After you beat him I could have gone after you myself but I decided to let you have the getaway. That actually reminds me… I kinda promised myself I would do this somehow to thank you for that.”

He chuckled. "Oh, thanks. Do what.?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked at her. So…she would rather I won over another hero? Probably just because Harbringer is an asshole.

Jade bit her lip with a nervous smile and a light blush as she stood in front of him. She never really thought about how she would have done this before, with her helmet always in the way and the two of them never being alone. If the public saw this, they would go crazy. But now she finally had a chance and she couldn't tell if her heart was racing out of nerves or because she was about to do something stupid. She shook away those thoughts and placed her hands on his shoulders to hold him still. ”This.” Was all she told him before pressing her lips against his.

Killian's eyes went wide, and he froze, looking at her. His eyes were a bright green still, and his eyebrows knotted together with confusion. After a few seconds, he stepped back, looking at her. "I uhm…I don't think that's a good idea." He gave a breathy, nervous laugh.

Jade was still blushing as she also took a step back from the brief kiss. ”Y-yeah, y-you're probably right.” she nodded. ”But i-it was my decision and I wouldn't have let myself… just not do it… I guess.” she sighed. ”It was stupid of me to even say that I would do that in the first place.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded, a small smile tugging on the edge of his mouth. "… right. We should, uhm…get focused." He shook his head a little bit, raking a hand through his hair.

Jade nodded, a little embarrassed that her thoughtless idea had made things this awkward. She felt very foolish… and I probably should… I-it wasn't because I did it badly, is it? That wasn't my first but… It has been a while since my last kiss. she sighed and sat back down at her computer. ”So… do you remember what Harbinger’s powers are? I know he bragged about them quite a bit but… I can't seem to remember them.” she chuckled awkwardly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian cleared his throat softly. "Ah. Right. I…I'm not actually sure." He replied slowly, shaking his head and looking at the computer monitor. "I don't really remember."

Jade nodded and began typing, though a bit slower than what was normal for her. ”I'm sure there's an interview or something we can find. He always looked for the camera.” she told him with a humorless chuckle. ”We at least know it's not strength or shape-shifting… He may be slightly more durable than normal, but I know he's not bulletproof.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian nodded quickly. "Yeah. That…makes sense. I'll see if I can find out anything else about him from my magic, too." He sat down, closing his eyes so he could focus. Problem was…he was having a bit of a hard time doing that, the memories of the kiss distracting him.

Jade was glad once she saw him close his eyes, as she had actually had to edit a few typing errors as she looked through her systems. She had to resist the urge to groan in frustration at her stupidity. Of course, she shouldn't have done that but… Maybe it would have been better to have waited? She didn't really regret it. It had been very nice… She just regretted the uncomfortable atmosphere it seemed to have created.
