V released Nathaniel from the hug and raised his hands up innocently "fine, if I'm being so mean to you I assume that means you don't me to hold you anymore, or cuddle and kiss you, or tease you about how cute you are,"
V released Nathaniel from the hug and raised his hands up innocently "fine, if I'm being so mean to you I assume that means you don't me to hold you anymore, or cuddle and kiss you, or tease you about how cute you are,"
"Noooo!" Nathaniel hugged V tightly. "Don't leave me… I need you." He whispered.
V hugged him back and kissed his head “I would never my love. I love you too much to leave you.”
Nathaniel wrapped his wings around the both of them, clearly not willing to move at the moment. "I can't lose you again…" He said weakly.
"You will never lose me Nath." he picked him up gently and hooked the smaller one's legs around his waist. ""Want to go home or stay out a while? it's still kinda early."
Nathaniel rested his head on V's shoulder and clung tightly to him. "We can stay out if you want…"
"sure, any place you want to go or do you just want to walk around?" He nuzzled his neck and pressed his lips to Nathaniel's shoulder.
"Walking around sounds good…" He murmured, sighing quietly as he made himself relax.
“Alright, we’ll walk around a bit before going home. Mind hiding your wings in case someone sees us?” He asked softly, adjusting his hold on Nathaniel before continuing to walk
"How?" He asked, glancing up at V. "I can't conceal them with magic. It doesn't work."
V thought for a moment before gently setting Nathaniel down for a moment. He tugged off his jacket gingerly, trying not to pull at his own wing. He pulled the sweatshirt over Nathaniel and picked him back up once he had adjusted his shirt.”there.”
"But what about your wings?" He asked, adjusting the jacket a bit once it was on him.
He shook his head “the shirt covers them. Not as well as the jacket but it should be fine.” He kissed Nathaniel’s head gently and started walking down the street
"If you say so, love…" Nathaniel lay his head on V's shoulder again and relaxed. "The weather's nice…" He murmured.
“It really is.” He murmured close to Nathaniel’s ear. “Want to go to the bookstore? We haven’t gone in a while.”
"Sure, love. Hopefully she won't think I'm your little brother again…" He sighed softly.
V chuckled softly “yes, hopefully not.” He pressed a kiss to Nathaniel’s cheek. He adjusted his hold on Nathaniel to open the door and went inside. “Hi Zaya, mind if we look around a bit?”
Zaya waved and nodded, smiling softly as he saw V come in carrying Nathaniel “Of course, go ahead.”
Nathaniel relaxed a little once they were inside and left alone, resting his cheek on V's shoulder. "Looking for anything in particular, love?"
V ran his free hand along the spine of the books and shook his head, voice low and sweet “no, not really. Well, maybe two or three but I’m in no rush.”
"Well, you can get whatever books you want… I don't really care." Nathaniel yawned a bit as he looked up at the bookshelves.
“Never had a real love for literature, did you angel?” He laughed softly and bulked a book out from the shelf. “You always used to fall asleep whenever I started reading.” He recalled with a find smile
Nathaniel stuck his tongue out playfully. "In my defense, I was badly injured, drugged, and we were reading study books instead of anything interesting."
“They never really gave us anything if interest to read. Save for the astrology books.” He sat down against the bookshelf and cradled Nathaniel against him
Nathaniel nodded in agreement and examined the book V had grabbed. "What is it?" He asked.
“One if my favorites, Phantom of The Opera. One of the first books I read when I came here.” He explained voice soft and full of fondness for the piece of literature.
He nodded again, examining the cover curiously. "What's it about?" He asked.
A weird love triangle between these two guys, ones the girl's singing coach and the other is her childhood friend. The mentor was badly burned and abused in his childhood and grew up in an opera house. He used to talk to the girl through the walls and in her dreams. he fell madly in love with her and now wants to take her as his bride until her childhood best friend hears her sing and now has fallen in love with her." he explained, flipping through the pages and smiling. "the movie has great music too, but i like the book a lot."
"Huh…" Nathaniel thought for a minute. "That's… pretty strange, but it sounds interesting, I guess." He shrugged, glancing over the pages. "What are their names?" He asked. "Or do they not have any?"
"yeah, it's a weird concept. The girl's name is Christine, the phantom's name is Eric and the guy who likes Christine from childhood i think is named Raoul."
Nathaniel nodded. "Who's your favorite?" He asked, shifting his wings a little under V's jacket.
