V thought for a moment before nodded "yeah, we can go to a restaurant. I have in mind if you don't have a specific place you want to go."

"I don't know much about restaurants, so I'll just follow your lead." He shrugged.

V nodded and stood with Nathaniel in his arms "How about an old italian restaurant that's amazing down a few blocks?" he asked

"That sounds great to me, love." Nathaniel replied, kissing V's cheek.

"alright, imma change real quick before we go," V set him down gently and went to the bedroom to change into a nicer shirt and pants

"I'll change too." Nathaniel followed him, deciding to wear some nice jeans and his pink blazer over a white shirt.

V sighed dramatically when he saw Nathaniel and wrapped him in his embrace "just when I thought you couldn't get any more cuter,"

Nathaniel blushed and rolled his eyes. "Oh, stop it, love. You're so dramatic."

"yes, yes I am, but my words are still true." He pressed a kiss to Nathaniel's neck, nudging the sleeve out of the way so that he could trail the kiss along his shoulder

Nathaniel shivered a bit and blushed harder, but he made no attempt to stop V. "Are… Are we going to make reservations or just show up?"

"it shouldn't be too full now, we can show up if you don't mind waiting a few minutes." V murmered against his skin, breath warm.

He shivered again. "I-I'm glad to go whenever you're ready, love…" He said softly.

V smiled softly and pressed a final kiss to his cheek "then let's get going." He took Nathaniel's hand in his and led him to the door

Nathaniel nodded, squeezing V's hand lightly and letting the other lead him away.

V led Nathaniel out of the apartment and pressed a kiss to their intertwined hands.

Nathaniel leaned his head against V's shoulder for a moment, smiling softly. "I love you."

V glanced down and pressed a kiss to his head “I love you too, angel.” He nuzzled his hair

"How far is the restaurant from here, love?" He asked, looking up at V to meet his gaze.

“A few more minutes, angel. Hungry?” He asked with a smile

"Mhmm." Nathaniel grinned right back. "D'you think they have bagels?"

V raised his gaze to the sky and sighed “my love, we desperately need to find you something else to eat other than bagels. Else I’m gonna have to ban you from eating for a while.” He smirked, wondering if that’s actually work

"Pfft. You wouldn't do that." Nathaniel tutted. "I don't weigh enough as it is. I know you don't have the heart to deny me food."

“I can’t deny you anything my angel.” He pressed a kiss to his temple “I don’t know if they have bagels in an Italian restaurant.”

"Probably not… What do you think I'd like there?" He asked. He had to keep up a slightly faster pace than he'd usually walk in so he could keep up with Ilya's longer legs.

V slowed his pace a little so that Nathaniel could keep up. “Ummm, they have a lot of pasta dishes, all very good. Chicken parm which okay, bread bowl soups which are literally to die for and pretty dang good pizza.”

"Mm… would you want to share something or get your own thing?" He looked up at V again.

“It’s up to you dear, I’m willing to eat just about anything off their menu.” He glanced up at the building and pulled open the door, leading Nathaniel through

Nathaniel sighed and followed him in, waiting quietly while V asked for a table.

The waitress sat them down to wait for a table to be set “10 more minutes you two and then we’ll have one ready, sorry for the wait.”
V nodded in thanks and pulled Nathaniel close “you okay angel?”

"Mhmm. Why wouldn't I be?" He leaned into V when they sat down, trying to keep his wings in a comfortable position.
