Snowkit eyed them warily, but Crescentshine pushed her forward gently. Even next to the pretty small apprentices, she seemed tiny.

Shadepaw bent-down and looked at her "Hello~"

Snowkit just meowed nervously, stepping back a bit. "Give her some space, Shade." Batpaw said to his brother. "You're probably scaring her."

He stepped back

Snow kept eyeing them cautiously from where she was. "I'm Bat and this is Shade, but I'm pretty sure they're changing our names a bit." Batpaw explained, not wanting them to be strangers to her.

Shade nodded.

"Well, Shade, you're awfully quiet. Why don't you try talking?"

"I dont know what to say"

"Well, you could say hello for yourself. That's not my job."

"Hello"

Snow just nodded and slowly retreated to Crescentshine's side again.

It slowly turned to sunhigh.

"Well, we'd better go. It's almost time for the ceremony." Batpaw left the nursery.

Redstar lept on-top on the rock above the fresh-kill pile" All cats that are able to hunt prey gather round"

Batpaw was already there, Dewpaw watched from the medicine den, and Duckwing came under the rock.

Redstar "Today we have, two cats worthy and age of apprenticeship Bat, and Shade. Who will be renamed Batpaw and Shadepaw. Under some warriors mentor-ship Batpaw will be apprenticed to Darkfang. Then Shadepaw will have Duckwing."

Duckwing came up to the rock and touched noses with Batpaw. "I'm honored, Redstar." He bowed his head politely.

Redstar nodded. Darkfang touched noses with Shadepaw.

The clan members cheered the new apprentices names until they were dismissed. "Well, mentor. What is the first order of business?" Batpaw asked, standing up straight and at attention.

Darkfang "I guess we'll learn how to hunt more or less."

Batpaw nodded. "Shade and I are quite good at hunting already, so it shouldn't be too difficult. Where are we going?"

He "around the mossy rocks I guess"

"Alright." Batpaw slowed his pace as they approached it and went down into a hunting crouch.

He decided to watch.

He silently stalked towards a lone rabbit before suddenly leaping forwards and slamming it to the ground. He quickly snapped its neck and carried it back to Darkfang to lay at his mentor's paws.
