Asher dipped his head in agreement.
Delila smiled. "Well, I'm glad you think so."
Asher dipped his head in agreement.
Delila smiled. "Well, I'm glad you think so."
“I’ve never been around much. The idea of traveling makes me excited.” She giggled softly.
Delila smiled. "Well, if you do a lot of it, you'll see a lot more of the world than you dreamed you would."
Asher nodded.
“Oh I hope so!” She grinned excitedly. “Seeing the world in person! Wouldn’t that be wonderful!”
Asher smiled. "We'll do that, then." he replied.
Arabella pressed a soft kiss to his cheek in return to his words. “Then we’ll travel together!”
Asher smiled at her. "Yeah, if you want." He replied.
"Just so long as you two bring me back souvenirs." Delila told them with a laugh.
“Of course, Delila! You’re a friend now! I wouldn’t dream of traveling and not bringing you back something!”
The older woman smiled. "Mm. Good." She replied. Jake, the little dog, jumped off of her laugh and trotted over to Arabella, sniffing at her curiously.
Arabella looked delighted to have the little dog come up to her. She bent down to offer a hand for the dog to sniff, grinning.
Jake sniffed at her, then pawed at her leg, looking up at her plaintively. Delila chuckled. "He wants to sit on you." She said.
Arabella gently picked the dog up and set him in her lap, running her fingers through the fur of his head. "He's so cute!" She giggled, looking up at Delila. "And friendly."
Jake wagged his tail, looking up at her. Delila chuckled. "Mm. He's a lazy mutt, but he's the other things you said too." She replied.
"I like him." She said gently, petting the dog and marveling at how his fur felt beneath her hand. Her father really hadn't let her touch a dog or any other animal for that matter. But she loved them all the same. Now that she could do what she wanted, she had pet as many animals as she could.
Delila smiled. "Well, you can't have him." She replied easily. "That one's mine. You can get your husband to buy you as many as you like, but Jake's mine." Jake wagged his tail.
Asher sighed. "One." He replied immediately. "And only one."
Arabella giggled softly. “I wouldn’t take him. He’s cute and soft but he’s your companion.” She replied gently, looking to Asher and laughing when he limited her. “Aww I can’t have ten?”
Delila smiled. "Mm. Good. Because you can have him over my dead body." she replied teasingly.
Asher smirked. "No. Maybe two, at the most."
Arabella laughed a little more. “I’m not going to take Jake. He’s your dog.” She hummed. She was more than delighted to even have just one dog. She wouldn’t mind it at all. “Oh two is nice. But we can stick with one.”
Delila smiled. "Good."
Asher nodded. "Alright. We can get a dog after the honeymoon then, alright? If you still want one."
“Really!?” She asked with bright eyes. “You’re serious? We can actually get a dog?”
"Yeah." Asher replied with a smile, kissing her cheek. "Just…preferably not a huge dog." he chuckled quietly.
“No big dogs. That’s alright.” She hummed, pressing a soft kiss in return. She loved kisses. They made her all giddy. “A little dog like Jake.”
Asher smiled. "Hm. Alright." He replied. "Just don't paint the dog. That's generally not good for them."
Arabella gently ran her fingers through Jake’s fur. “I’m not going to paint the dog.” She mused, giggling softly. “That’s ridiculous.”
Asher grinned, and kissed her cheek. "You sure?" He replied, flicking her arm lightly.
She stuck her tongue out at him. “I am sure! Maybe I’ll paint you though. You could use a little more color in your work.” She teased.
He rolled his eyes, chuckling softly. "Mm. Maybe." He replied, smiling lightly.
She smiled happily, thinking back to her painting room and humming. “You’ll fit right in with my other paintings Asher.”
"Nope. They're prettier than me." Asher teased, smiling lightly. He reached over and picked up a strand of her hair, using it to tickle her cheek.
She giggled, ducking away from the tickling with a bright grin. He was so cute it hurt sometimes. “Mm I think you’re much more breathtaking.” She hummed.
