Abby laughed a little. ”If that’s hot to you, I’m curious what do you consider cold?”
Abby laughed a little. ”If that’s hot to you, I’m curious what do you consider cold?”
"Around -30 degrees." Ava said. "That how cold it would reach back home during a mild winter."
Abby's jaw dropped, as much as her mask would allow. ”That’s freezing! I don't even know if it gets that low at the poles. It might, but… Geez! I can't even imagine that.”
Ava laughed at her shocked expression. ”Calm down! That temperature is normal for us. Well, most of us.” She explained. ”The Sylvians that were born here obviously wouldn't be used to it but most of us remember it pretty well.”
”Still…” Abby almost shivered at the thought. ”I'm not much of a fan of the cold. I prefer warmer weather.” she admitted, rubbing her arms to warm up a bit. ”But it makes me wonder, what’s your normal body temperature? Sorry, if I'm bothering you with all these questions. For some reason, I never think of them until it seems like I'm asking too many.”
Ava shook her head. ”Its fine. I am pestering you with just as many questions as well. Our body temp is usually at 62 degrees.” She said. ”What is yours usually at?”
Abby smiled at the reassurance before chuckling lightly. ”The normal body temperature for humans is 98.6, which probably sounds like a walking heater to you.” she giggled.
Nyt's tail wrapped around Abby and pulled her onto of her. ”That explains why you're always so warm.” She giggled as she snuggled Abby.
Abby giggled and nuzzled back against her. ”I guess so.” she smiled happily.
Ava smiled. "You two are do cute together! I'm glad you found someone Nyt." Ava congratulated her.
Abby blushed a very bright red as soon as she realized what Ava was implying but she didn't want to make things awkward by embarrassed mumbling trying to explain so she just gave a small smile.
Nyt realized this as well and just smiled. "Thank you." She said. Were they even together? They had been doing things that friends don't usually do for a while and they both liked each other.
Abby nodded slowly knowing that she and Nyt were going to have to talk once they left. ”I’m glad she found me too.” she said truthfully.
"How did you guys meet again?" Zara asked as she flipped her "hair" around.
Abby chuckled, happy to tell this story. ”I was hurt and needed to find shelter. Luckily for me, Nyt left her shed door open. So I snuck in and hid in the back corner until she came back to actually close up.”
Ava laughed. ”So you walked in and Nyt found you in her shed? For 14 years I have been looking for humans and then one day Nyt just happens to find one in her shed!” She said.
Abby snickered. “Yeah. At the time I thought I was making a really dumb decision but it was dark, about to storm and I was desperate.” She shrugged. ”So I took my chances and don't regret it.”
"I hope you don't!" Nyt said laughing and hugging her tighter.
Abby laughed and shook her head. ”Not a bit.” she assured truthfully. She had been thinking of Nyt’s house as their home for a while now. Of course, she still had a home at the camp but… she really did care a lot about Nyt.
Nyt smiled, happy. Her watched went off then. She checked. "We better head back and get ready for the meeting." She said, sadly.
Abby jolted at the remainder. ”Oh, shoot! I can't believe I almost forgot about that!” she groaned. ”I wish we could stay longer.” she apologized.
Zara and Ava stood up. "That's fine! You need to get going!" Ava said, excited. "You can come back any time!"
Bates flinched when Abby jolted. "Awww! They have to go already!" He asked. "I liked her!"
Max stood up. "Come on Bates. You have a mess that you need to help me clean up." He said, glaring at the smaller robot.
Abby nodded. ”I’m sorry Bates, but yeah we have to go. It was really nice to meet all of you.” she smiled. ”Are you going to let go of me, Nyt? Or are you going to carry me again?”
Nyt stood up and sat Abby down. "Sorry!" She muttered.
Bate made a sad noise before climbing off of her.
They all said there goodbyes and then Abby and Nyt headed out.
”It’s ok. I'm used to it.” Abby smiled at her before also saying goodbye and walked next to her. She was actually tempted to hold her hand on the way back.
Nyt and Abby walked out of the building and started down the street. It was dark now.
”Maybe you carrying me isn't a bad idea.” Abby half-joked. ”I can't see in the dark as well as you can.”
Though the sky was dark, the city shone with blue light. The city was almost more active at night then it was during the day. The plants that snaked across the city in the day glowed blue with strange symbols all over them. "If you want to." Nyt said, picking her up.
Abby laughed lightly and smiled at Nyt as she was lifted up, wrapping her arm over her shoulders. ”Thanks.” she said nuzzling against her comfortably. ”What are those symbols on the plants?”
Nyt hummed before looking at the plants. "Those are there genetic symbols, all plants have them and they show it off either during the day and night." She explained.
