Abby smiled and nuzzled into her girlfriend's arms. ”I feel the same way about you. Being a scavenger was kind of an adventure, I guess, but I like this one better.”
Abby smiled and nuzzled into her girlfriend's arms. ”I feel the same way about you. Being a scavenger was kind of an adventure, I guess, but I like this one better.”
"Probably a lot less chance of death and injury." Nyt said, nuzzling back against Abby. "I like this a lot better as well."
”Oh, definitely.” Abby agreed. ”And a much better place to sleep.” she chuckled.
Nyt laughed softly. "Much better." She said, softly as she ran her fingers though her hair. The idea that she was holding her girlfriend in her arms made her feel like she had just won the world. Well, technically she had. She had won her world.
Abby smiled a little at hearing Nyt laugh and nuzzled into her hand. It was a little surprising to her how much she liked being held like this, when before… back at the old camp, she hardly let anyone touch her aside from sparing. Only her Uncle Toby and her two friends had been ”allowed” to touch her outside of that. This was different… It made her feel so safe. And kind of special.
Nyt started to doze off a bit, warm and happy with her lover in her arms. "I love you, Abby." She whispered as she closed her eyes. "Forever and always."
”I love you too, Nyt.” Abby replied softly before kissing her cheek. She smiled a little and closed her eyes, more than content to fall asleep in the Sylvian's arms. ”Forever and ever.”
(Where to now?)
(I have no idea… but I don't really want to stop… 😅)( Do you have an ideas?)
(Neither do I! I have no clue though.)
(Maybe we could do some kind of event? To get more of the humans out of hiding? Maybe a party?)
(That sounds great! Where should it be? In the capital? At Nyt's place? The human camp?)
(I’m fine with either the Capitol or the camp. Nyt's place might be a little crowded for something like that.)
(True. You could choose where you would rather have it. I'm fine with either.)
(I think I’m leaning towards the capital.)
(Alright! Cool! I'm working on something at the moment but when I get some time I'll post the starter.)
(No problem!)
Nyt's tail flicked back and forth nervously as she watched people mingle among each other. This was the first time the human council and the Sylvian council had met with each other. The humans, of course, had been skeptical about meeting in the capital but came anyways. There hadn't been any trouble so far, thankfully Mr. Myers had stayed behind. Other than the councils and herself, Abby, Adar, Caleb, Peter, Mark and Ava were all there as well.
"It's going well, so far." Nyt said softly to Abby, as she hadn't wandered too far from her side.
Abby nodded though she felt Nyt’s nervousness. ”Yeah, so far so good.” she agreed, gently taking her girlfriend’s hand. The blonde human had also been very relieved that Myers hadn't come, even though they were obligated to invite him. She smiled and gave a brief wave at their friends before adjusting her mask for the tenth time tonight.
Nyt smiled. It was good to see people of both races getting along and talking about each other differences. "It's a good thing Myers didn't come. I have a feeling that he would of caused nothing but chaos." She said.
Abby laughed a little with her. ”Oh, I’m sure he would. The old grouch would probably just take everything as an insult, trying to start a fight wherever he could.” she sighed, shaking her head slightly.
Nyt chuckled at the prospect. "Yeah. Probably wouldn't be the best introduction to the human race." She admitted. "The council would probably end up rethinking their decision if someone like him came."
”I’d fight for another chance.” Abby promised. ”I can't stand the thought of losing you just because of one old man’s prejudice. At least Peter’s behaving himself.” she smirked a little as a joke.
Nyt chuckled. "Peter is doing fine, it's Mark I'm worried about. He looks like he's about to have a heart attack every time a Sylvian tries to talk to him." She pointed out. It was true. Mark looked very on edge.
Abby looked over at Mark and noticed his tense posture. ”Yeah, he does look a little wound up.” she nodded before glancing back at Nyt. ”Do you think we should go over and talk to him?” she asked.
Nyt shrugged. "Maybe. It's kind of entertaining, actually." She said with a chuckled. "You're right though. He's going to end up having a heart attack if this keeps up."
”That definitely wouldn't look good… Though you're right it is a little funny.” Abby chuckled a little. ”Hey, maybe we could introduce you to a couple of human holidays we used to have. We still have some but… I think there used to be more.” she suggested before walking over to Mark, still holding Nyt’s hand.
Nyt gave Abby's hand a gentle squeeze back as they walked over to Mark. "Alright, but your going to have to introduce them. I'm still confused but a few of them."
Mark was shifting back and forth on each foot, nervously. He had never been around Sylvians as much as the others. He had no idea how Peter was acting so calm. Jumped slightly when he saw a Sylvian out of the corner of his eye, only to relax when he realized it was Nyt and Abby. "There you are."
”Don’t worry. I will.” she promised, gently squeezing Nyt’s hand in reply. ”Hey, Mark.” Abby smiled reassuringly as he noticed them. ”Are you doing alright? You seem kinda jumpy.” she questioned calmly.
"Hmm? Oh! Yeah, I'm fine. It's just…odd being so close to them. Sylvians, I mean." Mark explained. "Our whole lives we have been told to stay away from them and here we are, talking casually with them. Not that it's a bad thing! It's just going to take some getting used too."
