Christopher finished paying as quickly as he could, before getting on his bike and moving it over to the others so another car could gas from the pump. He still felt embarrassed that Amaris paid for him.

Adella finished her Icee and tossed it in the trash, giving a small cheer when it went in without much trouble. "Still got it." She muttered under her breath, hopping onto her motorcycle. The cycle in question was a yellow with tons of different pastel flowers painted onto the sides.

“I don’t really know what I’m doing yet,” Christopher replied softly, though he had a feeling it would probably be trying to find a job on short notice other than the one in the flyer. He was running out of options, since he needed to pay rent somehow…

"U-um…" Riverpaw muttered from her crouched position on the ground, where she was idly drawing shapes in the dirt. "My sister works late today, so I-I'm not going home until around 11. I have nothing planned, I guess."

@Spider-man

Ava watched the others on bikes. She knew they where apart of the biker game. She road off following them. It may seem a little desperate but she's heard a lot about them and was well desperate to join.

Flame hopped on his bike, fumbling slightly with his cheap, used helmet. It wasn't the best, but it was enough protection for him on the road. His bike was most likely a dark green color but it faded away with the red dirt on it. The handles gave a creaking noise if he gripped it too hard and so did his seat. There was a bit of rust around his fender and his footpegs, giving an uneven brown color to the bike. "Should we go now? I heard that they sell the best shakes and sliders around this time." He announced after listening in to their conversation a bit.

“Sure,” Christopher said quietly, after a moment starting up his black, plain bike. He didn’t intend to eat anything, but he liked to hang out with everyone since they were the only friends he had—good friends at that. Christopher brushed the thoughts away, slipping on his only slightly duck taped black helmet over his head and speeding out into the road in the direction of Bertie’s.

"Thank you." Riverpaw smiled. She climbed onto Amaris' bike and settled nervously. She still wasn't used to riding on her friends' rather dangerous vehicles, but it's not like she could run everywhere when she hung out with them.

Adella stopped the cycle when she got a text on her phone, it vibrating in her pocket. She needed to pick up another shift for someone at the dinner. "Alright, I'll text Adyn to go over and make food for them."

Christopher got to Bertie’s and pulled into a parking spot and taking his helmet off as he waited for the others. He pulled out his beat up samsung 2, being careful not to cut his fingers on the broken screen. The phone hardly worked anymore -it was the phone his dad gave him when he was a kid- but it still could make calls and take photos. He looked at his phone to search for that old flyer, and sinking feeling in his stomach when he found it. Part of him wished he just wouldn’t have been able to find it and that way he wouldn’t even have the option to take a job like that.

Christopher quickly shut off his phone when Colden came up behind him, turning red and praying the guy didn’t see the picture of the flyer. “I-I’m f-fine,” He stuttered, though it was clear he was lying.

“H-How did you know I need a job?” Christopher asked, biting his lip. He felt ashamed, and useless. Most people could keep a job for at least a couple months, but Christopher always had a hard time.

@Knight-Shives group

"Assumed, over heard, guessed. But also you just confirmed it by asking how I knew," Colden replied then stepped away and stood in front of him so he could actually look at him.

Christopher bit his lip, staring at the ground, “It’s not that big of a deal, really…” He mumbled, shoving away the fact that if he didn’t get a job soon he’d be kicked out of his apartment. “I-I’m gonna find another one, s-soon.”

@Knight-Shives group

Colden nodded and saw how the mannerisms of Christopher didn't really match what he was saying. "I could still help you out a bit," Colden offered with a slight smile.

“How?” Christopher asked softly, glancing up from the ground to Colden but he couldn’t hold eye contact for much longer than that.

@Knight-Shives group

"Well I know places that are hiring… Unless you already have a place to work at in mind." Colden said then pulled out his phone and looked through some contacts.

“N-No,” Christopher lied, willing to work anywhere other than there. “I-I just need a job soon,” He told him quietly. Christopher couldn’t afford to wait a couple weeks to hear a response from an employer—he would be kicked out of his apartment by then, probably.

@Knight-Shives group

Colden nodded then pulled out a piece of paper and started writing phone numbers down on it and jobs/places they were for and to. "Here," he said as he gave him the paper.
