This is random, but I have a hard time knowing when to be like Jesus and forgive and when someone is toxic and to let them go. The Bible says to always forgive, but I just don't know where to draw the line. Should I even draw the line? Do I just forgive everyone no matter what?

I hate that phrase too.
Don’t forgive anybody no matter what. Only forgive them if they deserve forgiveness.

@PrettyLittlePyro

But if you’re saying it that way, then none of us deserve forgiveness. I think you should try to forgive people, no matter what, because it’s the thing Jesus would do. It’s not easy, and you’ll fail, for certain, but you should at least try to forgive.

@Tired-but-passionate

I’ll just say something that I’ve heard someone else say: Sometimes forgiveness isn’t for that person’s sake, it’s for your own.
Also, forgiving obviously doesn’t mean forgetting. Just because you forgave someone doesn’t mean you have to keep being around them or having them in your life.

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I think you should try your best to forgive everyone. However, forgive and forget are two separate things.

Let’s say, for example, your weird neighbor killed your dog while house sitting for you over the weekend. It was technically an accident, but a really stupid, irresponsible one that could’ve been prevented, like playing darts with razor sharp kitchen knives in the puppy’s playpen.
While you definitely shouldn’t hold eternal grudges against the guy or plot revenge, that doesn’t mean you have to let him continue to house sit and take care of your other dogs, as that’s a recipe for disaster. Instead, let go of your hatred, forgive him for what he’s done, but continue to set boundaries so that this doesn’t happen again.

am I making sense here?

@berlioz

If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him.
2 Corinthians 2:5-8

“If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
Luke 17:3-4

Notice how it doesn't say "forget what they did to you and keep letting them abuse you". Forgiving is not forgetting. Forgiveness is cleaning the air between you and another person. Forgiveness involves two people, who have to play two parts. You have to express how they wronged you, they have to repent, and then you forgive them. Paul also reminds us not to hold back love when we forgive- when they're truly sorry, there's no more reason for you to hold a grudge. It's healthy to set boundaries between you and the person who's wronged you. That doesn't mean to stop loving them, but it does mean to keep them out of a position in your life where they could hurt you. Forgive them, and move on from them if they're toxic. And pray for them, too.

I'm praying! Also, I want to know something, and I would like to see if someone agrees. So all this stuff with corona, and the vaccines. People around me, namely my father, believes the vaccine ia the beginning of the mark of the beast. And mask wearing is just the beginning of the end. Like no mask, no entry into stores, and etc. And I've started wondering about it. Could this really be the time for the second coming of Christ? Like the similarities are there. And believe me. I'm scared, and excited at the same time. I would just like to know opinions on this. Like if it's starting to happen, I want to make sure everyone I love around me is ready. Including myself. I'm worried. And scared. Any insight from anyone would be helpful.

I've heard ppl talk about the vaccine being the beginning of the mark of the beast, and I'm waiting for more info on it to come out. I don't want the vaccine regardless, but especially if it is something that's gonna be like, forced on people. I feel like there are some things that have to happen first before Christ can return, but that doesn't mean it's far off. That said, people have said "it's the end of the world; Jesus is comin' back" for like a really long time. I mean, eventually they will be right, but it's hard to tell, and I say just pray and study and watch the signs closely. You have to have godly wisdom to be able to discern these sort of things, and even then, nobody knows when He's coming back technically, anyway.

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

You're very right. No one knows when Jesus is coming back. Only God knows. The thing I'm scared about is that I feel like the world is going to start to become apocalyptic. (My friends and I have a running joke, about current times being like movies 2 and 3 of the maze runner…) I know Christians are going to start having a rough time, I feel it, and the thing with China is only the beginning. I know I'm 17, and I know I'm acting very paranoid, but that's just a part of me I've learned to deal with. I'm praying, and asking God to give me wisdom, but I still feel unworthy, if you get my flow. Also recently, a possible vaccine came out that's like a patch with microscopic needles in it, that's like a bandaid. I about had a panic attack because I was like this is it. This is the beginning of the end of the world… (I know this all sounds like a scared 10 year old, but that's how I currently feel…)

@Ewen_the_Eccentric

Nah, you're not being ridiculous or a spaz. All of this stuff is a big deal. I guess the reason it doesn't scare me too much is because I've heard about it all my life and for the past 18+ years have built up some kind of mental resistance to it. Not to mention, I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist, which means I've heard about a bajillion "OH MY GOODNESS THIS IS IT THIS IS THE ENDDDD" spiels since I was like ten years old and I guess I'm sort of used to it by now. When it happens, it happens. I'm not worried cuz I'm on the winning side. It might get rough but I know where I stand.
But uh, yeah. The world might get apocalyptic. Walking Dead minus the zombies.

@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book

I've heard it all my life too, and I know I'm on the winning side, but it hurts me to know that all the people who aren't will die, and sufferfor eternity. And I feel like the Christians who get away, should like have a mewt up spot in the middle of the country or something. Like in The Dakotas, or like Colorado, or Nebraska. But that's all the conspiracy theories that have been put in my head… And I'm ready for Jesus to come back. No more pain, heartache, and suffering? And you get to see all your family that you've ever lost again? That's something. But the real thing that I'm so excited about, is that I'll get to see Jesus face to face. And praise him, and ask him all the questions that I've ever had…

@Echo_6 group

Are we in the end times? Summed, answer is, yes and no. We are and have been in the end times for quite some time now. However, and this is gonna sound like the Croods, but we're not at the end of the end.
When we have world peace, as in absolute peace. That's actually when we're getting close to Jesus coming back. In Revelations it says that the antichrist will sign a document bringing peace to the world. For a short amount of time.
Then of course all hell's gonna break loose and we're going to be thoroughly tested to see who is really faithful and who isn't. Then Jesus is going to come and bring the full force of Heaven with him to bring us home and to banish all sin once and for all.

So are we in the end times? Yes, however we're not at the end of the end. That is still a ways off.
In the mean time, it is our jobs as Christians to spread the word to as many people as we can reach.
