The waiter nodded, and left.
Asher smiled. "I can tell." He replied with a chuckle. "And I enjoy desserts too."
The waiter nodded, and left.
Asher smiled. "I can tell." He replied with a chuckle. "And I enjoy desserts too."
She smiled sweetly and giggled. “What is your favorite?” She asked him with a bright smile.
He smiled. "Mm…mint chip. You?" He asked with a grin.
Arabella beamed, her eyes wide and excited. “Oh! Really anything! But strawberry flavored things and chocolate cake are definitely my favorite.”
Aster smiled. "Oh, those are good." He agreed, looking at her with a smile.
She laughed softly and shifted in her seat, a little awkward. She wasn't sure what to say next, or how to speak with him. "I- Uhm… what would you like to do later today, after our walk?"
Asher shrugged a little. "Oh. I don't know." He replied, glancing down at the table, then back at her. "We could visit the neighbor?" He shrugged again.
“Oh we could! That would be fun.” She hummed, resting her chin in a hand. “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, my parents want us over for dinner sometime too. They asked when you were open.”
He smiled. "Alright." He sighed softly. "I…the only upcoming thing i have at dinner time is another business meeting on Tuesday. Otherwise I'm open whenever you want to tell them. Next week, though, we're going on that honeymoon."
“Ah that’s right.” She blushed lightly and ran her fingers through her hair. “I’ll tell them after the honeymoon will be fine. I’m sorry to say I’d rather put it off.”
He gave a small smile. "Alright. I understand." He replied, reaching over and gently laying his hand on hers. "It'll be alright."
“Thank you, Asher.” She murmured softly, gently taking a hold of his hand and smiling. “I couldn’t ask for a better husband”
Asher smiled slightly. "You're welcome." He replied. His eyes flicked away for a moment. Yes you could. One that loved you far more than I do would be preferable. Would be better for you.
Arabella didn’t seem to pick up on his glancing away, instead letting her eyes fall to their hands. A small smile painted something much better than the misery she had so often worn.
Asher gave her a small smile, squeezing her hand lightly. The waiter came back, and set the ice cream in front of them. "Here you go. Anything else?"
Asher shook his head. "No, thank you."
Arabella’s mood changed faster than any other time before. She giggled at the ice cream and slowly let go of his hand to pick up her spoon.
The waiter nodded, and left.
Asher watched her with a smile, and picked up his own spoon, eating some of his ice cream. "Well, someone's happy." He said teasingly.
Arabella flashed him a teasing glare, laughing. “I am extremely happy when it comes to deserts. I was hardly allowed such sweets.”
He chuckled. "Mm. Well, you can have as many sweets as you want now. Just don't get too overweight, preferably." he replied, eating his ice cream.
She laughed, shaking her head. “Why would I do that? I won’t eat that much. Besides, beauty isn’t everything.” She shot back with a grin. “It shouldn’t matter if I’m overweight,”
He laughed softly. "Mm. Well, that's true. But if you were, the press would probably attack you, and I wouldn't want that for anyone. The press is…not kind." he shrugged.
“Ah,” she pouted softly and rolled her eyes. “I hate the press. They’re too nosy for their own good.” She said softly.
(I gtg to bed)
He nodded. "Mhm." he agreed. He kept eating his ice cream, closing his eyes for a moment. "Pack of vultures." he muttered.
(Alright, good night!!!!!)
“Vultures is right.” She huffed, bringing a spoonful of the frozen treat to her lips. “I’m surprised they’re allowed to do the stuff they do.”
Asher sighed. "Technically as long as they aren't physically hurting someone, they aren't breaking any laws. Which sucks, because they can do whatever they want."
Arabella made a face before shoveling more ice cream into her mouth. “Dumb laws.” She stated. “Let’s not think about them anymore. Let’s think about ice cream.”
Asher laughed. "Alright." He agreed, eating his ice cream. "Sounds like a good plan." He smiled at her, chuckling softly.
She smiled back, a small glint in her eyes as she did so. “This is really good, this little place. We should come more often.”
Asher smiled. "Yeah. Although there are a lot of good little places that I think you would like." he replied with a soft chuckle.
“Really?” She asked joyfully, smiling.
