“Yes, it’s lovely,” Theodosia agrees with a smile and a nod. “Oh, look at the horses!” She heads over to the fence and watches as a pretty black mare approaches.

@LolaBug

Theodosia cautiously reaches out and pets the horse’s nose. The animal accepts the attention happily. An older man approaches after a few minutes.

Miguel glances towards the man and offers a kind smile, "Good day, sir."

@LolaBug

Theodosia turns and smiles slightly. “Hello, Mr. Smith,” She says, trying not to show how uncomfortable she is.
Mr. Smith, an older man with cold brown eyes, nods slightly in greeting. “Are you here for riding lessons?”

"Lady Theodosia is, Yes," Miguel responded glancing at Theodosia who looked uncomfortable.

@LolaBug

“Thank you for agreeing to this at such a short notice.” Theodosia offers a polite smile. Only a couple of hours of this.
Mr. Smith grunts in acknowledgement before gesturing for them to follow him.

Miguel follows directly behind Theodosia, keeping a close eye on Mr. Smith the entire time.

@LolaBug

Mr. Smith leads them to an arena where a calm bay mare is all saddled up. “Just get on and try not to fall.”

Theodosia nods nervously before approaching the horse.

Miguel watches from a few feet behind observing the horse and Mr.Smith.

@LolaBug

Theodosia carefully climbs onto the horse’s back, holding on for dear life. Mr. Smith ends up grabbing her hips and practically tossing her up there, something that she doesn’t enjoy. “What now?”

@LolaBug

“Grab onto the reins and give her a nudge in the side,” Mr. Smith instructs, impatient.
Theodosia does as she’s told, stiffening when the mare starts going faster than expected.

Miguel kept watching, staying silent as Theodosia tried to figure out her horse

@LolaBug

Theodosia gets a few instructions shouted at her but they don’t help all that much. After awhile of riding around, she finally gets the horse to stop.
