Xara rolled her eyes. "You're welcome, I guess," she muttered, turning around and walking back the way she came. Wow. Such gratitude. It's not like I just almost died, or anything, she thought annoyedly before stopping herself. She hadn't told him that, so there was no way for him to know.
(A recurve bow, sorry I didn’t write that down)
Upon arriving outside, Cat would see a figure standing by the door and fidgeting with an arrow shaped badge.
“Cat, right?” He asked when she came into sight.
Cat nodded. "That is my name alright. You the person suppose to watch me show why this isn't the best bow for a war?" She held up the bow that had come with her suit.
“Yep, I am apparently your weapon as well. Sagitta, the Arrow constellation, pleasure to meet you” he introduced as he leaned closer to Cat and whispered…
“Here’s a fact, all ranged weapons made by General Syzen are not good in the slightest. The person who make the best of those is the one who’s betraying the kingdom right now” he said with a hint of laughter.
Cat smiled slightly. "Alright where am I shooting and how far away is it?" She pulled and arrow out and put it to the string of the enchanted bow.
"Oh look, a fight is about to start" Quebec pointed to the field where he saw 2 figures.
"What's the Zodiac? I can't see it" He squinted his eyes and looked at the 2.
Matthew, with Scorpio’s increased eyesight, spotted the Zodiac.
“That’s Sagittarius and… I think that’s the Arrow constellation, I can’t remember their name” he claimed.
Sagitta pointed to the forest in the far distance which stood on the same plain as the field.
“Sixty meters of distance, 37 angle upwards, red target” a light lit up in the forest.
Corvus, the Crow constellation, was walking towards Syzen’s meeting room and has definitely spotted Xara.
“Sup” he ‘greeted’ with his left hand in his pocket.
Xara rolled her eyes. "Hi," she responded drily. She'd always hated that 'greeting.'
Sagitta pointed to the forest in the far distance which stood on the same plain as the field.
“Sixty kilometers of distance, 37 angle upwards, red target” a light lit up in the forest.
Cat looked out and spotted the target. "I will not hit that target with this bow. I can only get this arrow to about 60 65 yards from us. And that's if the wind is with us. If the wind is against us that distance will drop," Cat pulled her cloak off and Plag hopped off her shoulder as well. She was wearing a sleeveless shirt under it, with arm guards on both her arms. She then took stance and drew back. "I'll show you." She aimed up from the target and fired. The arrow went up and then down close to 67 yards from them.
(Crap, sorry, I meant to type ‘meters’ and autocorrect changed it to ‘kilometers’ XD)
(Well it's okay because she still wouldn't hit it from that far away.)
The Arrow constellation nodded.
“How about forty meters, 21 degrees angle down?” he said as another light lit up, this time below the plain where they are.
(I take it back, she would have been able to hit it, but in this case she would have gone past it. I just did the math, oops. That was my bad.)
Cat pulled another arrow out and drew back. She stood for a long moment taking aim then shook her head and side stepped. Mid step she fired. The arrow landed hard in the middle area of the target. "Alright, give me something farther away. Much farther away. Like say, something 370 meters away."
Name: Pasha Runes
Age (19-25): 25
Gender / Sexuality: Male, Bisexual
Personal Magic: Watchful Eye
This allows Pasha to expand his sight, through his mind, to a kilometer radius from his current location.
Zodiac Sign: Pisces
Likes: Helping people, animals (especially sea creatures), any food that isn't fish based, flirting, sight seeing and star-gazing.
Dislikes: Large crowds, the death of sea life, litter.
Pasha returned to his home from a long night at work to find one of the maids holding golden envelope. With a yawn and a slight grumble, he took it from her, turning it over in case there was a return address. Unfortunately there wasn't. Only a seal that he could only imagine wasn't for a good thing. After giving her his uniform to wash, he made his way upstairs to the sitting room. The sun blinded him a couple of times, resulting in him drawing the curtains with such velocity that they almost came off the wall. "I just want to go to bed, I've had enough of society for one day." Why he became a night guard he will never know, but it was good pay– not that he needed it– and he did meet some fruity people in the late hours of the night. Sipping his coffee, he slid another glance to the envelope. It was a strange things, when he held the item it felt like there was more than a letter inside. After staring at the envelope for what could have been half an hour, tapping his fingers on his mug, he finally gave in and took it to the sitting room. He sprawled himself on the chaise lounge, sighing heavily before he opened the envelope. What's this? A badge? He held the badge in his hands, it was too heavy to be a regular novelty badge– Wow, this is serious. As he stared at the Pisces symbol on the badge, he completely forgot all about the letter inside the envelope.
From outside the windows of Pasha’s room, there was a figure floating. The figure was in a black and white mage robe with gradients of orange and yellow along their lapels and helm. They also had birds wings with them; black ones to be specific. He knocked on the window.
Sagitta nodded and looked at the targets faraway.
“380 meters, 18 angle up, green light” he stated as a light extremely faraway lit up.
“Let’s see how accurate you are”
Luc was sitting at a table in the library, about five different books opened in front of him and a few other piled up next to him. He was going to take advantage of this, read things about crystals and where to hit on the human body.
The Phoenix came to the same table as Lucisan’s, her hands were holding stacks of… books.
“Phew… finally” most of what she got were documents, all of which she had to sign and read through. Despite the kingdom being powerful, they still had to make relationship with other kingdoms. She sat down and started with the top document.
Corvus raised a brow.
“So, where’re you going?” He asked, breaking the silence in the process. His Crow badge was on his messy white shirt.
Xara sighed. "I don't know," she admitted. "I was going to go back outside, but everyone out there is an idiot."
“Well we do have a library down the hall, a second floor where you can explore, a ‘laboratory’ up there as well, a music room alongside other rooms on the third floor, and the watchman towers might interest you?” The Crow tried to explain the building and the ones surrounding it.
Sagitta nodded and looked at the targets faraway.
“380 meters, 18 angle up, green light” he stated as a light extremely faraway lit up.
“Let’s see how accurate you are”
Cat placed the enchanted bow down and pulled out her own bow. She drew back and aimed high. But instead of standing in place she was shifting. Moving slightly left and right, as if getting a better target. Then she fired, the arrow reaching a scary height before plummeting down and punching a hole through the target. "Yeah that's about what would happen to someone wearing armor. They'd get a hole through them. The difference between that bow and my bow is that my bow is a long bow 65lbs. And that's not even the heaviest that I can shoot. Granted much heavier than this and I will struggle to go for any length of time, but I can shoot a bow that is heavier than this if need be." She pulled out a three arrows picked out the three targets he'd given her before and drew back. Then she fired one after the other releasing each within two seconds. Each hit it's target. "Got anything harder?"
"What kingdoms are those with?" Luc asked, thumbing through some of his books. He had been studying some kingdoms before he was called here, so he might be able to help.
Sagitta smiled when the arrow hit.
“I like you actually… let’s see” a blue target lit up and started moving in mid-air at approximately 400 meters away from Cat and was moving in random directions.
“Uh…” she turned the pages to look at which kingdoms’ documents she had to sign.
“Qiryu, the Dragon kingdom to the east, Mesa, the Magic kingdom to the north, Phastia, the Spirit kingdom to the north west, and Liestha, the Technology kingdom to the far south” she answered in order.
Syzen turned to the people still in the room.
“Do you not want to test the armor out, Cancer?” He asked, raising a brow.
"I'd assume you'd want to do Mesa, as they don't have any wars with the other kingdoms and an alliance with Liestha. If you propose an alliance with them and get on their good side, the others will follow."
“Well we do have a library down the hall, a second floor where you can explore, a ‘laboratory’ up there as well, a music room alongside other rooms on the third floor, and the watchman towers might interest you?” The Crow tried to explain the building and the ones surrounding it.
Xara thought for a moment. "Excellent. Libraries are the only safe place. Thanks for your, er… help," she called as she headed down the hall towards the library.
Draco looked down and came a throne-like seat with locks and ropes attached to them. He gently set Lata down on the seat which was stably in an upright position. Draco locked the ropes to his armor as the flight continued, now with Lata seated.
“Sorry, I forgot I was given that” the Dragon constellation apologized with a small laugh as they continued towards the kingdom.
Lata rubbed at her wrists, a bit irritated, but less so than earlier. It was a bit odd to be sitting in such a fancy chair as well. At least it was comfortable. The fact that she was currently flying up so high in the air, towards a chance of a lifetime was good enough to keep her smart remarks to herself. "Don't worry about it," she replied instead.
“Heh, true. To be perfectly honest with you, Qiryu is the only kingdom we don’t really feel like should be in our alliance as the prince of that kingdom is… you know… our prince’s self-proclaimed rival which we all found hilarious” the Phoenix brought up as she signed the papers with a smile.
“Of course I’m kidding, they’re very nice”
Corvus nodded.
“My pleasure” he spoke before he continued on his path.
The hall to the library was quite simple; just a quick turn to the right of the third corridor would do.
Soon, Draco alongside Lata would reach the kingdom’s palace. He slowed down and landed gently before unlocking the ropes that held him and the seat base together. The base then disappeared.
“My duty, as for now, ends here. General Syzen is waiting for you in the meeting room at the end of the left hall pass the first corridor” he explained.
