Jay smiled lightly, stroking her hair gently. He wondered when she was going to wake up.
Jay smiled lightly, stroking her hair gently. He wondered when she was going to wake up.
Leo continued to shift around and eventually, though very sleepily, opened his eyes and looked up at Jay with an already wagging tail. The puppy seemed wide awake and soon got to his feet, padding over to him as his tail wagged even more.
Jay smiled at the little puppy, and let go of Delia's hand to pet Leo. He smiled again, scratching Leo behind the ears.
Her hand fell to the mattress and she shifted around, rolling onto her back once again as Leo soaked up all the attention. The puppy seemed to trust Jay more now, his wagging tail and constant trying to get closer to him the main signals.
Jay kept petting the puppy, laughing quietly as he held the squirming little bundle of fur, careful not to fall off the edge of the bed.
"You're so loud," Delia mumbled, shifting around more and stretching as she woke up, or attempted to. Leo turned and watched as she woke up before once again pawing at and bugging Jay for more attention and petting.
Jay smiled at her. "No I'm not." he protested, laughing again. He was still petting Leo gently, scratching behind the puppy's ears.
"Yes you are," She groaned, smacking him with her arm before flipping onto her stomach and burying her face into the mattress, "I was having a good dream too."
"Nope, I'm not." he argued. "Oh? What were you dreaming about?" he asked, looking at her with a grin.
"Things," She replied after pausing for a moment, as a smile twitched onto her face and she could feel her face heat up slightly, "Several different things, all of which are good dreams." For once she was happy that her hair fell on either side of her face and obscured the blush that wasn't hidden by the mattress.
"Riiiight." Jay drawled. "And what were these…things?" he asked with a grin. He poked her shoulder lightly.
Delia stayed silent, her shoulders pushing up and a small giggle coming from her. She wasn't just going to tell him her dreams. He was a part in too many of them and she would become a blushing mess by the end of telling them.
Jay raised his eyebrows. "Oh? Were they funny?" He asked, leaning close and looking at her with a faint smirk on his lips.
She shrugged and another almost laugh came from her. "Nooo,' She mumbled into the mattress, her ears turning red as well.
He smirked more, leaning over her. He flicked one of her ears lightly. "Is your head going to explode? You're turning bright red."
"My head isn't going to explode," She said with another light laugh into the mattress, bringing her hands up to try to conceal her bright red ears as she tried to push the dreams out of her head, "I'm just bright red because." Delia realized that she was going to reveal everything if she didn't shut up, and so she did close her lips with a squeak so she wouldn't tell him anything.
"Because what?" Jay asked, poking her shoulder again. Leo whined, and climbed on top of Delia, wagging his tail. Jay chuckled at the puppy.
She mumbled her answer quietly and squeaked again, turning her head sideways and looking over at him with a smile that could have several meanings.
Jay raised his eyebrows at her. "I can't hear you." he said, smirking down at her with a chuckle.
"Because you were the one I was dreaming about," She mumbled again, this time a fraction louder and with her voice not muffled by the mattress. Immediately her face grew darker red and she pressed her eyes shut so she didn't have to look at him as a goofy and embarrassed smile covered her face.
Jay blinked. "Good dream or bad dream?" he replied slowly, a smile spreading on his face and a faint blush rising onto his cheeks. He petted Leo absently, the small puppy whining and scrabbling at him.
Delia opened her eyes and looked towards the ceiling as she whispered, "Amazing dream." She squeaked again and then once again buried her face in the mattress, surprised that she had actually managed to say something.
Jay blinked. "And…what was this amazing dream about?" he asked slowly, studying her. "Other than me?"
"A lot of things, things that I wish would happen," She said, now flipping onto her back and focusing on the ceiling while thinking maybe her blush would fade, "A few things that I wished would've happened as well."
"You're being purposefully obtuse." Jay replied, wrinkling his nose and poking her in the stomach. Leo barked happily, sniffing at them, tail wagging.
Delia felt a small grin appear on her face and she shrugged, "Maybe, but that might be a good thing." She rolled onto her side to face him and leo, reaching out and petting the puppy.
Leo snuggled close to her. Jay sighed. "You are." He replied with a groan. "It's irritating." He looked at her.
"Why is it irritating? Is there something you want to know from my dreams?" She asked, looking back at him as her small grin grew and the table shifted while she was the one asking questions.
Jay blinked. "Uhm…you said I was in it." He replied. "So of course I'm curious." He shrugged a little.
Delia felt the heat rising to her cheeks again and she shrugged, "You were in them, but that's all I'm going to say, seeing as I will be an embarrassed mess if I told my dreams to someone."
