He sighed, and nodded. "I know…but i would rather not stay in one place all the time. How do you avoid the aliens?" He asked, changing the subject to her.
He sighed, and nodded. "I know…but i would rather not stay in one place all the time. How do you avoid the aliens?" He asked, changing the subject to her.
“I change houses every often at random so they can’t pinpoint a pattern or anything,” she said. “Also I mostly only leave the house to get supplies or food or something. If anyone sees me, I move houses. I usually help out people if I can, though.” Honestly, Allie wasn’t sure how she’d even survived this long, though she wasn’t about to admit that.
He nodded. "I see. So after i leave, you'll move again?" And I'll probably never see you again? He wondered. He looked at her. "Thank you for letting me stay the night, by the way."
She nodded. “You’re welcome,” she replied. “And, yes, I am moving whenever you leave.” Though I hope you don’t leave too soon, she added mentally.
He nodded. "Alright. Is that a hint for me to leave now?" He asked, adjusting the strap of his bag and glancing at the door.
“No!” she blurted, then blushed again. “I mean, no, not really. You’re welcome to stay another few days, or whatever. If you want.”
He nodded, and gave a small smile. "Alright. I…would love to stay a bit more. If you're sure you are alright with that." He shifted, setting the bag down.
“I’m fine with that,” she responded, trying to get her emotions under control. She smiled back at him. “It might be nice to have company.”
He nodded, giving her a smile. "Alright." He replied, setting his bag down. "Agreed. About the company thing. It would be nice to be able to talk to someone a bit more."
“Yeah, already I feel better than I have in a little while,” she agreed. “We can help each other out.”
He smiled. "Yeah. Like if you get sick. Or if I get sick, i guess." He shrugged slightly. "And stuff like that. Im good at finding things like food in places you wouldn't expect."
“Like what?” Allie asked, raising an eyebrow. She had to admit that she was glad he was staying a bit longer. But it’s just because you would like the company, she reminded herself. That’s it.
"I know a bit about edible plants and stuff, and i also know where to look to find food that got left behind." He replied with a shrug. "It's…how I found that chocolate."
“Left behind how, exactly?” Allie asked suspiciously. The pause in his sentence made her think that he had left something out. She felt a bit nervous.
"Like in the rush to get out after the aliens came. Left behind in stores, houses, etcetera." He replied. Did i say the wrong thing? He wondered.
Allie nodded, accepting his answer. “Okay…I just thought you were going to say something else,” she said. “So what do we do now?”
(gtg for a bit)
(ok)
He nodded. "Oh, alright." He shrugged slightly, looking around the house. "I'm…not sure, actually." He chuckled softly.
“There’s obviously nowhere we can go, unless you know of a secret place that the aliens don’t know about? I’ve heard one girl tell me there’s some sort of club, but obviously I don’t get out enough to know for sure…” she thought aloud. She glanced at Logan to gauge his reaction.
He shrugged. "I…really don't. I've never heard of a club, either." He shrugged. Considering I'm what you refer to as an alien…no. I don't know any places.
“I might know where someone know who knows is, if you want to go,” Allie suggested. “Unless you have another idea?”
He shrugged. "Not really, sounds fun." He smiled at her.
She smiled back. “Okay then, we’re going to have to go to a an abandoned-looking building about five minutes from here. I helped a girl who hangs out there and she owes me a favor.”
He nodded. "Can I leave my bag here, or should i bring it?" He asked, gesturing to the bag that he had set on the floor.
Allie shrugged. “I’ve never been there before so it’s up to you,” she replied. “I’m taking my knife and gun, but that’s it.”
He nodded, and pulled the gun from his bag, tucking it into his belt, since he didn't have a hold and he didn't want to carry it. "Alright."
“All ready to go then?” Allie asked, pushing herself off from the wall. She had to admit she was excited. This was the most interesting thing she had done in months. She had intended to possibly visit the club sometime, but now she was actually doing it, and with a cute boy no less. She glanced at Logan as she headed to the door.
Logan grinned. "Sure." He replied, following her. He smiled. He had been to a club or two before, but he hadn't ever gone with anyone, especially not a pretty girl.
She opened the door for him again with a smirk and then led the way over an unused, cracked old road to a row of (seemingly) empty buildings. “It should be the one on the end.”
He smiled back, and followed her. "Alright." He started walking along the road towards the one she had pointed out.
