Sorin tried standing up, but was immediately kicked down. He grabbed the man's foot, despite having kicked him on the nose, and twisted him to the ground. He hastily crawled on top of him, digging his nails into his scalp– not minding him clawing at his face nor the blood dripping down his chin.
Cas tried to pull Sorin off, but he wasn't strong enough. "Dammit! We're minors! We could call the police on you!" He yelled, still struggling to pull Sorin away.
The other guy who was with him pulled Sorin off, tossing him aside. But before they could get to Cas, Sorin sprinted to what looked like a metal recycling bin. Whether or not it was cemented into the ground, he picked it up easily and ran toward them with it.
"Sorin, no!" Cas tried and failed to hold Sorin back, his tail fluffing up in fear.
He swung his arms, hitting one of them with it. Sorin brought it down on the other, his eyes clouded with anger.
"Shit! Sorin!" Cas grabbed the bin when it swung towards him, but he was knocked over with the momentum.
He dropped the bin and immediately knelt next to him. "No, no… Cas… are you okay?"
"Mmhmm…" Cas nodded, feeling rather dizzy. They'd drawn a crowd by now, so at least the guys couldn't get away.
Sorin ignored the humans, his main focus being on Cas and only him. "Are you sure? Do you…Do you want me to take you to the hospital?"
"I'm okay, Sor. I don't need to go to the hospital- ow!" Cas was dragged to his feet by one ear, the other one turning back. He meowed loudly in distress as he tried to free himself.
He scrambled to pick up the bin and luckily didn't have to hit the other guy since he seemed to be out cold. For a moment, Sorin forgot about the crowd as he charged the guy, swinging the bin heavily but careful not to hit Cas.
When the guy was hit, Cas was dragged to the ground with him. He was dazed again, but he managed to free himself from the guy's grasp.

His wings ripped out further from beneath his skin as he went over to pick him up. He bent down to pick up his shopping bag and flew away from the scene, not wanting to stir up any more trouble.
Cas hid his face in his hands, trembling. He wasn't exactly expecting a fight today…
Sorin held him tighter on one arm as his other hand wiped the blood that was dripping down his nose and chin.
Cas wrapped his legs around Sorin's waist for more stability, keeping his eyes closed until they got home.
He landed softly and headed inside. Sorin went upstairs, resting him gently on their bed then went downstairs to grab the frozen peas and towel. He was ridden with guilt his chest aching each time he thought about what he did.
Cas wasn't seriously hurt. He had some light bruising on his back where he'd hit the ground and on his neck where his collar had dug into the skin. The ear he'd been lifted by was throbbing as well. He knew he'd be sore tomorrow, but he was overall okay.
"Maybe we'll go to the fair tomorrow?" He walked in the room and set the peas on his forehead. Sorin knelt next to him, stroking his hair gently. "Look, i'm really sorry, Cas…"
"It's not your fault, love." Cas smiled to reassure Sorin, taking the angel's hand in his own.
"It is my fault… It's all my fault…" Sorin pressed his lips to his knuckles and closed his eyes.
"How is it your fault?" Cas asked softly, looking a bit concerned.
"I should've been more careful with the bin…" He brushed his nose against his hands and closed his eyes. "And I just… I don't know… I–I could've prevented them from coming after you in the first place."
"You can't control them, baby… besides, I got in the way. You wouldn't have even hit me if I didn't try to stop you." Cas stroked Sorin's jaw with his thumb.
"There wouldn't be a need to stop me if I could control my anger."
Cas shrugged. "They attacked me. I understand why you were upset."
Sorin lowered his head to kiss his faded bruised cheek then the tip of his nose. "How do you feel? Where are you hurting?"
"Just my back from falling and my neck from being choked…" Cas replied, tilting his chin up so Sorin could see the bruises.
He carefully traced the bruises with his finger, feeling a twinge of pain in his heart. Though he knew they were light, it still hurt him knowing he could have prevented it somehow.
