Cas nodded and followed Sorin. "If we're doing the Ferris wheel, it's probably quieter up at the top."
Cas nodded and followed Sorin. "If we're doing the Ferris wheel, it's probably quieter up at the top."
"Where do you wish to go after this?" The line was shorter than he had expected and he was thankful for the fact. Eagerness was evident in his features as he waited.
"Wherever you want, love. You're the expert."
"I guess so. Though I never really left the house much before I met you."
Cas shrugged. "I lived on the streets and never went to a fair. Even if you're not an expert, you know more than me."
"Yeah, you're right," he scanned the area, looking for something that caught his eye. He stopped at the large swing ride and pointed to it. "We could go there."
"Sure, if you want." Cas winced at the sounds seemingly growing louder and moved a bit closer to Sorin.
"Hey, you okay?" The two moved up further and Sorin let out a heavy sigh as he realized the people in front of him occupied the last seat.
"Yeah, I'm okay… the music over here is very loud." He turned his ears back again and rubbed them, closing his eyes.
Sorin rested his head against his chest and zipped up his leather jacket. "I don't know if this helps," he said with a nervous laugh, "Can you breathe in there all right?"
"Mhmm…" Cas mumbled in a very muffled voice. He huddled up against Sorin's chest, keeping his ears down under the fabric.
Sorin loosely kept his arms around him and lightly rocked them back and forth until the ride was over. He unzipped his jacket and covered Cas's ears with his hand as they headed inside.
Cas followed him onto the Ferris wheel, keeping his eyes open until they sat down. Honestly, he was getting a bit of a migraine from it, but they could go home soon.
He pulled down the restraint and kept pushing down to make sure it was locked. "Are you alright?"
"Mhmm… trying to block it out." He covered his ears. "It's not working very well…"
"Do you… wanna go home? We can get off this thing and fly home."
"No, no… I can at least wait til the ride's over." He looked up at Sorin, still holding his ears.
He looked over at him as the wheel began to slowly spin. "Casper if it's seriously bothering you, we can go home."
"It's okay, love. It'll be quieter up at the top anyways." He hesitantly let go of his ears in an attempt to reassure Sorin, but he kept them turned back.
Sorin looked down and nodded. He took a hold of his hand and looked on in awe as the Ferris wheel rose up higher.
Cas looked out curiously, staring down at the ground below. The noise was duller up here, but that didn't stop his throbbing headache.
He took a quick glance at the other before looking down again. "Is that better? Do your ears still hurt?"
"It's a little better, but it still hurts." His ears flicked a bit in response to the sounds.
Sorin nodded in understanding. He sat there silently for a moment before saying, "Let's go home. We could get some aspirin on the way there to help."
"Okay. When this ends, though- ah!" He quickly covered his ears with his hands at the sound of a sharp whistle from below. "Ow…"
"Okay," Sorin unlatched the restraint effortlessly and picked him up. "We're leaving now." Sorin stretched out his wings and flew away from the wheel.
"Woah! Oh my god- Sorin! You can't just do that!" Cas stayed as close to Sorin as he could without having to take his hands off his ears.
"And why is that?" Sorin held onto him tightly while scanning the area below him for a place to buy his medication.
"I'm… I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to leave rides in the middle of them??"
"But you were in pain. We had to leave that ride." Sorin scrunched up his nose as he found it way to cold then descended a little lower to continue flying.
