Lysander practically flew to her door, a little surprised to find it open. He sat beside her on the bed and attempted to wake her gently. ”Betty. It's alright, it's just a bad dream. You're s… you're not in danger.” Please don't let it be about me.
Lysander shook her shoulders, speaking a bit louder. ”Betty, wake up.”
Lysander let go of her and moved his cold fingers against her cheek. ”Are you alright? Your heart was racing.”
He nodded. ”Do you want to talk about it?” he offered, honestly expecting her to say no.
She shook her head "Can you uh just lay with me untill I fall asleep, Please" she asked.
Lysander blinked in surprise. Of all the things he was anticipating; that was not on the list. ”If that is what you want…” he said hesitantly.
Lysander nodded speechlessly. If he could blush, he was certain he would be a shade of red as he laid on top of the sheets beside her. Thank goodness I can control my thirst.
Betty slolwy closed her eyes "it wasn't about you" she muttered.
Lysander relaxed a bit at hearing that, a small almost smile teased at his lips. He was tempted to touch her to reassure her in some way but while he may know how to charm women, he had never had a real relationship with one.
Lysander lay still facing her, knowing she was not yet asleep. He gently placed a hand on her arm to console her that he was still here. Maybe it's the feeling of being watched… he thought before closing his eyes. He didn't need to see her right now, anyway.
Lysander stiffened slightly at the unexpected touch but otherwise doesn't move.
Lysander waited until she was peacefully asleep before he attempted to sit up carefully, not wanting to disturb her. Even though she had asked him to stay awhile, he doubted she would want him present when she woke up in the morning.
Lysander raised a brow at the subconscious gesture. Of course, it would have been very simple for him to remove her grip. But there was something else preventing him, other than not wanting to harm or disturb her. As long as she doesn't open the curtains in the morning I should be fine. he decided, laying back down.
(Time skip to when Betty wakes up?)
Betty woke up and was about to get up but she was pulled back dowm by weight she looked up and saw herself entangled in Lysander's arms . Betty took a deep breath carful not to wake him up. she slowly started to slip out of his grips.
Lysander had fallen asleep sometime past midnight. Normally he didn't fall asleep that early and as he mentioned he usually slept in very late in the day.
she slipped out of his arms and left he room putting on her tennis shoes she left the property and went to the lake.
Lysander shifted in his sleep, subconsciously noticing the lack of warmth and the missing heartbeat.
