Lysander gave a rare soft smile as he leads her to the back of the house. He hardly ever smiled to anyone anymore and when he did they were cold, menacing, or even dangerous. He blinked away those thoughts and glanced Betty. She wasn't scared of him and for that he was thankful. Then again, the daughter of werewolves wouldn't be scared of much, he reasoned. He almost hoped that one-day they would get along.
The garden was something he had worked on for a few decades now, those first couple years had been a disaster, but he had mastered it and was very proud of it. ”It’s just around the corner.”

The garden was beautiful, full of plants that bloomed in both sunlight and in the dark. ”I have not had the opportunity to show this place to many people, but I come here often.” He chuckled lightly as he took a seat on a marble bench in the center, ”Sometimes I sit here for so long that if anyone did see me they would probably think I was a statue.”

Lysander smirked a bit, revealing her the prominent fang marks on his neck. ”At least yours are only scars.” He knew the marks were fairly unimpressive, every Vampire had them, but he felt inclined to let her see them. ”You have no reason to worry. I have no intention to bring this upon you.”

Lysander sighed, and let her talk. He was one of the very few vampires that didn't have a conflict with werewolves. Part of the reason he agreed to this arrangement. ”You are very lucky to have siblings. You are the youngest of twelve, correct?”

”Ah. It seems I know less about them than I thought.” Lysander smiled at hearing her laugh. It was a nice sound, even if it was at his expense. He didn't really mind, though, he was hard-pressed to remember the last time someone was comfortable enough around him the way she was.

Being a creature of the night, the dark had no effect on his vision but he didn't comment on her flushed skin. Lysander simply gave a very small smile and nodded. ”It suits you.” he replied. He really wasn't good with small talk. ”Let me know when you would like to go inside. I can literally sit here for hours.”

Draco's like... snow, "It's cold and cruel to begin with, but it's somehow beautiful, and you miss it when it's not there. And if you hold it in your hands close enough and long enough, it changes. It melts.”

Betty sighed "I like the dark it calms me" Betty said "My Mother used to say without darkness Light cannot shine" She had never heard her say that of course but evryone else said that was her fsmous quote" It was like my Father was the darkness and she was the light" Betty Finished.

”Very true. And without the light, the darkness cannot be seen.” Lysander agreed. ”Your mother sounds like a very smart woman.” Perhaps you could be my Light. He bit his lip to keep from adding that thought and embarrassing himself so soon.

”I am sorry for your loss.” he offered, unsure of what else he could say. His biological parents had died a very long time ago, some days he had a hard time remembering them. Though he wished he could completely forget Charles. Lysander barely held back a low growl at the name.

Lysander closed his eyes and focused on his unnecessary habit of breathing. He may not have really needed to breathe but it was unpleasant when he went without for too long or when it was uneven. He needed to push aside those damned memories and try not to scare the young woman next to him.
