I found this site the other day on Pinterest. It was mentioned in a screenshot of a Tumblr post.

@NathanU

I was looking for alternatives for character/worldbuilding apps/sites on alternativeto.net and I liked how this looked

@DuckDuck487

a youtuber I watch was sponsored by world anvil but I had to pay to keep my work private. I looked up alternatives and I stumbled upon notebook.ai

I found you guys while searching for places to share fandoms besides Tumblr and somehow found you… via Tumblr lol. I just saw a post about you, I'll have to find it but I just checked your site out and it seemed cozy so I created an account!

Yeah we don’t like W*rldanvil around here

@MelouSiba

Friends and I were discussing in a conversation and the name came up, so I decided to check it out! Eventually, I made an account.

I was googling some writing stuff online - I think it was probably Best Tips for Writing Fantasy or something like that, and a website I was reading mentioned something called Notebook.ai. It's safe to say I immediately became obssessed and I have never looked back.

My friend Mackenzie told me about this place after we both found out that you had to pay to use Story-Wars (When it was still alive)

I know someone who used to be very very active on here a year or two ago, I've been meaning to join for a while now but now I've finally gotten an account and such.

@Azure_Empyreal

I found this while looking for alternatives of toyhou.se

@Randomguyonline

I've been here for a while but I don't think I every answered this question xD
Basically I watched a video where the content creator mentioned World Anvil. However I was looking first and foremost for privacy and y'know, paying to keep stuff private isn't exactly the best idea when you plan on monetizing your work, just… just a thought lmao. I started searching for alternatives and Notebook.ai seemed like the best one, I gave it a try and here I am, 2 months away from my first anniversary on the site! Love y'all :D

I saw someone mention this site in passing on tumblr. Really like it so far. Other similar sites I've wanted to try are either too exclusive (toyhou.se needs a code, ArtFight is limited) or just plain suck (think there was one called campfire or bonfire something, but the interface was awful and every page seemed to require buffering lol)

Uh….. I think I was just looking up writing sites and it popped up
