Sorin tilted his head and looked at him curiously. What is he?… "Casper, sweetie, where are you going?"
Sorin tilted his head and looked at him curiously. What is he?… "Casper, sweetie, where are you going?"
"…To get water??" Cas asked, confused by Sorin's seemingly pointless question. "What else would I be doing?"
"From the pond?" Sorin had a bewildered look on his face.
"Well… yeah? Where else would I get water?" Cas kept walking.
"The water fountain?" He pointed to the small silver fountain just ahead the pond. "Over there."
"They don't like it when I drink the water fountain water." Cas said simply.
His brows furrowed and he went over to hold his hand. "Who?"
"The big humans. They can be quite mean." Cas hummed. "They don't like non humans."
He folded his arms across his chest. "Go. Drink some water over there until you feel like you don't need to."
"But… then they'll hurt me." Cas seemed uneasy. "I thought you didn't like me being hurt?"
He inched closer to him, holding his face between his hands as his eyes fixed on his. "I'm not going to let them hurt you, Cas."
"…Okay.." Cas said weakly, tentatively making his way over to the water fountain. Once he reached it, a guy who looked about seventeen or so gripped the front of his shirt and dragged him closer, saying something to him that made him go pale.
Anger clouded him. He tightly knotted his fingers into the boy's hair, his nails digging into his scalp before delivering a punch to his jaw. People around the park eyed him, a few ran from him despite being yards away. Sorin ignored them, his eyes bulging with ire as he threw him into the concrete.
"Sorin!" Cas covered his mouth with his hands, his ears turning back. The guy was p i s s e d and tried to push Sorin away.
"Get offa me you crazy bastard!" He growled angrily.
He rarely got angry, though some might say it's for the best as it usually took him a while for him to subside. Sorin clenched his teeth, tightening his grip on his hair as he repeatedly slammed his head onto the concrete.
"S-Sorin, please!" Cas tried to pull them apart, but the older boy just grabbed his tail and practically threw him aside with no great difficulty.
"Stay out of it, pussy!"
(Oof cat insults)
(LMAO XD )
Sorin's fist collided with his nose, his eyes glowing a subtle gold as his rage surged. His other hand held a firm grip around his throat– Too tight, his mind seemed to say but he didn't care. His fist came crashing down on the boy's face.
Cas kept trying to pull Sorin away, tears obscuring his vision. "P-Please, stop it!" Oh god, what can I do, what can I do, what can I do? He thought for a moment before throwing himself between Sorin and the other guy, hoping that would be enough to stop Sorin.
He swung his fist, thinking it was the human who toppled onto him. His eyes widened upon seeing Cas, the hollow feeling in the pit of his stomach imminent as his anger was quickly replaced with regret.
Cas coughed, the wind knocked out of him. "N-Not my best plan…" He managed to choke out. The guy pushed Cas aside and ran off.
Guilt flooded within him as he scurried to prop him up. "I'm so sorry." He looked at the huge red mark on the side of his cheek.
"It's… f-fine… I'm okay…" Cas held his cheek with one hand, his gaze distant. He didn't seem to be fully there.
"Please, please, please forgive me Cas. I'm so sorry," Sorin held his hand and peppered his knuckles with kisses. "I'm sorry."
Cas glanced up at Sorin, the figure above him momentarily flicking into that of his father. He quickly brushed away any tears that fell, his breathing quickening.
His heart ached, drumming against his chest. "Cas, no… I'm…I'm sorry. I didn't– I didn't mean to hit you."
Cas whimpered quietly, one part of his mind knowing and understanding Sorin, and the other irrationally afraid. He was afraid to speak just yet.
He gave him a pained look. "It was–," he cleared his throat at the sound of his voice cracking, "It was an accident. I swear. I wouldn't hurt you on purpose."
"I… I-I know…" Cas managed to force himself to speak, still trying to rub away his tears.
"I'm sorry," he shifted closer to him, leaning in to rub his nose against his. "I'm so sorry."
Cas nodded, letting Sorin do whatever he wanted. "I f… f-forgive… you…" He stammered, still rubbing his red cheek.
