"Perfect, you're almost there," he pointed to the last set. "Now that one."
"Perfect, you're almost there," he pointed to the last set. "Now that one."
"…Ant." Cas said quietly, glancing between the three sections.
Sorin flashed him a smile. "Now put them all together…"
"Elly… ele… ph… ant…" He sounded out the sections, keeping his eyes on them. "Eleph… ant… el… elephant?"
"Yes." He kissed his nose, delighted in his efforts and successes. It seemed small, but it meant a lot to Sorin that he was able to help him.
"Can we take a break…?" Cas asked, his head hurting from all this.
"Of course," Sorin picked him up and sat him down on the couch. He bent down and set all the cards aside.
Cas sighed, snuggling against Sorin. "I love you…"
He would never get tired of hearing him say that. "I love you too…" nor would he ever get tired of telling him. Sorin pulled him up to his chest as he lied down.
"Thanks for everything, by the way…" Cas murmured. "It really means a lot."
"No need to thank me, Cas," he looked at him adoringly. "You deserve the best."
Cas blushed, screwing his eyes shut and gripping Sorin's shirt. "W-Why's that, love?"
"What do you mean, 'why'? You deserve everything." He stroked his hair softly.
"I mean why do you think I deserve everything? Or anything, for that matter…" Cas purred when Sorin began stroking him.
"Are you hearing yourself? You're one of the most amazing people i've ever met and for you to have the childhood that you had… it baffles me," he continued to stroke his hair. "If God couldn't give you everything you deserved, then I will."
Cas looked away. "I-I mean, I haven't done anything special… you're amazing, and I don't deserve your love."
He scoffed and pulled his chin up so he could look at him. "Cas, I don't deserve you… and you don't need to do anything for me to love you."
Cas closed his eyes, biting his lip as he blushed harder. He seemed unable to come up with a retort.
"You're perfect," Sorin caressed his cheek.
"N-No one's perfect, love…" Cas whispered, his voice wavering a bit.
"You're perfect for me. Everything about you… I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Cas opened his eyes a bit. "R-Really? Even though you have to teach me how to read and stuff?"
"Even then," He glided down his waist and pulled him up. He planted a small kiss on the tip of his nose.
Cas closed his eyes and turned his ears back again, though they returned to normal as soon as Sorin pulled away. "Mm… m-most people just think I'm a burden…"
"You're not, and you never will be. Not to me."
"I'm… I'm glad…" Cas smiled weakly, looking up at Sorin.
Sorin smiled broadly. "You're beautiful…"
Cas whined and hid his face again. "Stooop… you're making me blush…"
He lightly chuckled. "Hey, I have nothing to do with that."
"How could you possibly be unrelated to this?" Cas looked up, pointing to his red cheeks.
