Sorin sighed and shook his head. "How bad does it hurt?"
Sorin sighed and shook his head. "How bad does it hurt?"
Cas shrugged. "It's not unbearable, but it still feels like it's burning. Probably the grease."
"Alright, lets go run some cool water on it," Sorin picked him up and head over to the sink. He turned on the faucet and let the water run on his finger.
Cas winced a bit, sucking on his finger again once Sorin let him take it out from under the water.
Sorin turned off the faucet. "Is it… good now?"
"I think so…" Cas looked at the small blister forming on the pad of his finger, one of his ears flicking.
He narrowed his eyes on the blister. "Cas, I need to take care of that."
"How so? It's not all that bad…" Cas hummed, looking up at Sorin.
"Yeah, but i'm not risking it," he went over and brought the first-aid kit. "I'm going to pop that thing."
"What?" Cas seemed to get nervous, holding his hand against his chest so Sorin couldn't have it.
Sorin sighed. "Cas, come on, let me see it." He said with an outstretched hand.
"N-No! You're gonna hurt it!" Cas cowered away from Sorin.
"Sweetie, I know it's going to hurt, but trust me,"– he inched closer to him–"it's for your own good."
Cas shied away, eyeing Sorin distrustfully. He curled up into a ball, hugging his hand close to himself.
"C'mon, don't make this difficult," Sorin took another step closer to him.
"No!" Cas hopped over the back of the couch and ran off.
Damn it… Sorin began to run after him. "Cas!"
"Noooo!" Cas kept running, almost bumping into things quite often. Eventually he managed to get upstairs and hid under the bed.
How the hell is he faster than– right, he's a neko. Sorin stopped running and walked the rest of the way upstairs. "Cas!" He called out as he opened the door to the bedroom. "Casper!"
Cas cowered under the bed, covering his mouth so Sorin wouldn't be able to hear his breathing. He watched nervously as Sorin's feet came further into the room.
Sorin opened the door to the bathroom and scanned the place. No sign of Cas. He walked over to the closet and there was still no sign of him. "Casper."
Cas whimpered quietly, not liking the use of his full name. It reminded him of his father's angry voice. Yet, he still didn't try to come out.
He averted his gaze from the closet and to the bed behind him. "Cas, I know you're under there."
Cas didn't respond and began to tremble. Maybe he'll go away if I stay quiet…
Sorin knelt in front of the bed and peered under it, handing him an outstretched hand. "I'm not going to hurt you…"
"Y-Yeah you will…" Cas whispered shakily, not taking Sorin's hand. "You're gonna hurt my hand…"
He shook his head. "No, Cas… i'm not going to hurt your hand."
"…How do I know you're not lying?" His eyes shone, even from the dim light under the bed.
"I promise I won't hurt you…"
Cas hesitated before tentatively reaching out one hand and letting Sorin drag him out.
