Sorin reached for his hand and brought it to his lips, kissing his knuckles with his eyes closed.
Sorin reached for his hand and brought it to his lips, kissing his knuckles with his eyes closed.
Cas blushed a bit, still pouting. "Will the fish I'm allowed to eat be here soon?"
"In a few more minutes, I think."
"Alright…" Cas kept watching the fish from afar, his stomach growling.
Sorin watched as the waiters set their plates down. He handed Sorin oil and vinegar cruets before walking off again.
"What's that?" Cas asked, looking back at Sorin.
He held up the cruets. "These?" He set them down and held up his chicken salad. "Or this?"
"Both." Cas looked down at his plate, his mouth watering.
"Oh, it's a chicken salad," he pointed at the cruets. "And these are the dressings for it. Oil and vinegar."
Cas nodded and picked up his fish, taking a bite of it.
"Do you like it?" Sorin poured a bit of oil and vinegar on his salad before taking a bite.
"Yeah, it's good!" Cas ignored the people giving him strange looks, his tail twitching happily.
"You know, you could use the fork instead of your fingers." Sorin smiled and continued eating his salad.
"Hmm?" Cas looked at the fork and picked it up, hesitating before stabbing the fish.
Sorin watched him, still smiling, and continued eating.
Cas clumsily ate his fish with the fork, struggling, but still seeming content.
Sorin chuckled and scooted closer to him. "Here," he held his fork and cut a piece of fish for him and handed it back to him.
Cas stuck the fork in his mouth, his ears twitching. He grinned, looking up at Sorin. "I love you~"
Sorin kissed his cheek. "I love you too…" He grabbed the fork. "Do you… want me to feed you?"
Cas seemed confused. "If you want to, I suppose?"
Sorin cut up his fish into tiny pieces and fed him so he wouldn't have to. He could practically hear Kyoko's voice telling him he needed to stop babying him, but he didn't care.
Cas purred a bit, watching Sorin's face. "You okay?"
Sorin smiled brightly. "Yes." He stabbed one of the pieces of fish and fed it to him.
Cas just shrugged it off, figuring they might talk about it later. "Don't you need to eat too?"
Sorin shrugged. "I'm okay," he fed him another piece of fish. The thoughts he had been suppressing about Kyoko were slowly beginning to resurface. Thinking of all the possibilities of her interaction with Berenice could have gone– some positive, most negative. Sorin shook away the thoughts and fed Cas another piece.
"You don't look okay." Cas chewed the fish quietly.
"What makes you say that?" He stabbed two pieces of fish with the fork and fed him once more.
"Behind your eyes is troubled." Cas said simply. "Also, I can smell your uneasiness. It's a cat thing. Well, usually it's attributed to dogs, but cats can do it too…"
Sorin shook his head. "I'm fine. Trust me."
"What's troubling you?" Cas persisted, keeping his eyes fixed on Sorin.
