Thorne sighed, looking to Cress for support. "Okay, okay. Calm down. Getting upset won't fix anything. Your dad - " "He's clearly on the wrong medication," Cress interjected. "I've a friend who could help with that."
Thorne sighed, looking to Cress for support. "Okay, okay. Calm down. Getting upset won't fix anything. Your dad - " "He's clearly on the wrong medication," Cress interjected. "I've a friend who could help with that."
Cade looked at Cress "Really?" a small spark of hope in her eyes
Cress nodded. "I'll give him a call in a bit. I'm sure I can convince him to take a look for free," she said, nodding to herself.
"Thank you Cress" Cade gave her a genuine smile that seemed to be pulled down at the edges with sadness
Thorne smiled and plucked another cookie from the center of the table. "You're a genius," he whispered to Cress. "I know," she whispered back, then turned to Cade. "Ok, if you want to write your home address on this," she handed Cade a slip of paper, "I'll have him come to you."
before thorne could eat the cookie Cade snatched it from his hand and ate it herself then wrote down her address on the paper and handed it to Cress
"Wha - hey!" Thorned groaned. "You've had 8 already," Cress berated him, taking the paper and slipping it into her bag. "Sorry it's a bit old-fashioned," she told Cade. "All these official forms should've been electronic by now. Old traditions die hard, I guess," she smiled.
Cade laughed "that is true for some things. and EIGHT COOKIES! Thorne i always knew you were a hog person but that proves you are a pig" thinking why did i say that as she grabbed another cookie
Thorne gasped. "Didn't anyone ever teach you to respect your elders?" He said indignantly.
Cade had finally got her sarcasm back "nope you should know that. I mean my father is your brother" Her laugh was small and pitchy like when she was little
Thorne sighed. "You really are hopeless. That's it. No hope. None," he rambled, earning a swift kick from Cress.
(cade has wolf)
a growl-like noise came from an animal that was beside Cade "Salem!" Cade crouched down and wrapped her arms around the wolf's neck and burried her face in her scruff
Always so eager to fight and protect what they know, Aquila realized. Privileged, all of them, for having murderers as parents, he thought, Sybil's voice dripping in every syllable. She had consistently been right, he knew now. A hand buried itself Aquila's left arm, the nails digging into his flesh. Focus. That was Sybil's voice, this time. "I never said you were a coward."
(Aaah shoot i didn't see this earlier, sorry!)
Vesper shifted, not sure if he should really interfere. But if he didn't, they might never leave him and Aquila alone. "He didn't say you were a coward, or anything of the sort. Just…calm down?" He said slowly, biting his lower lip nervously. Did he say the wrong thing? Probably…
(tis okie!)
Aquila sent a sharp but grateful glance to his partner in crime. Thaumaturge? Should he address Vesper by this title, at this point? The Blackburn shook his head lightly, a soft remainder to stay focused. He nodded, a subtle yet powerful show of his support in Vesper's suggestion. And a wiser decision than talking back to their enemy.
"I'm going to have to agree, though it was nice to hear you speak so confidently," Karina said with a small smile. "However I'm confused as to why you can't show us a game. It's digital, like you said. Harmless, right?" she asked, genuinely curious.
He cocked an amused eyebrow at the girl. "Right," Aquila confirmed, making a show of pointedly glancing at Alana. Glares really weren't as commanding when the other eye could literally be facing the opposite direction, or perhaps he was crossing his eyes - he never knew. He hoped he didn't look like an idiot. "But your… friend… didn't seem to agree." The boy shrugged, innocent as ever.
Vesper went quiet again. At least I didn't say something wrong this time? He thought hopefully. Or maybe I did and I'll get scolded for it later… Sybil's voice echoed in his head, and he blinked, trying to focus on what was happening around him, instead of what had happened in the past.
(I. Want. To. Give. Vesper. Such. A. Big. Hug. Oh. My. Stars.)
(he would be so confused lol. But yes same even tho he's my own character)
(such a mood)
Alana noticed and returned the glance, giving a glare of her own, piercing and unblinking.
(lol)
Aquila rolled his pathetic one eye, gesturing vaguely as if he was proving his point.
Alana crossed her arms, her gaze not leaving Aquila.
Aquila pursed his lips, both eyebrows shooting skyward as his eye dodged Alana's gaze.
Vesper shifted uncomfortably, looking away from their confrontation. If not for those stupid chips, then he could have interfered and forced Alana to leave them alone, but…he sighed softly.
Cade had picked up the wolf even though it was hard and had shifted her into a comfortable holding position remembering that she had only had Salem for a while she asked Thorne "I don't think you met Salem did you?"
Thorne shook his head. "Never really saw you as the adopt-a-wolf type of person, but alright."
"SHE IS A LOVABLE ANIMAL! And a perfect lady." Cade laughed and put the big wolf down
Ze’ev looked down at the wolf. He felt a little uncomfortable as he remembered the surgery and his own very lupine features. Scarlet looked over at him and grabbed his hand. She decided to join in the conversation. “She certainly seems like a perfect lady, doesn’t she Carswell?”
