Sorin curled his wing around him once more. He left the marketplace, but not without buying a few things so Cas wouldn't suffer the aftermath the next time they were intimate. Sorin led him to a small lake mostly boarded by large rocks that formed a dome around them. The rocks were covered in rose vines, with the red contrasting the vibrant blue of the lake.
Tiny fireflies were the only thing that provided the light here. It was a place Sorin use to enjoy to read during his time in this city, knowing nobody rarely ever came here, and he was glad to show it to someone else.
Cas hopped up onto one of the rocks and looked out upon the lake. "Wow… it's so beautiful here." He murmured, his eyes wide and filled with awe.
Sorin picked out a rose and handed it to him. "Not as beautiful as you."
Cas blushed, taking the rose and kissing Sorin gently. "You're such a dork… but you're my dork."
Sorin smiled against his lips and cupped his cheeks.
"Hey! I'm like, as tall as you now!" Cas grinned. He was still standing on the rock while Sorin was on the ground.
Sorin chucked and poked him on the nose. "You're so cute."
"If you insist~" Cas stuck his tongue out and hugged Sorin. He was noticeably shivering a bit, as the dark had made it cold enough for them to see their breath cloud in front of them.
Sorin expanded his other wing and curled it around him as he held him tight.
Cas stepped down from the rock and tucked his head under Sorin's chin. "I love you."
Sorin kissed the top of his head. "I love you too." He glanced at the glimmering lake behind him and turned back to Cas. "Too cold to go for a swim?"
"Maybe, but I make a lot of bad decisions." Cas started taking off his shirt.
Sorin grinned and began taking off his shirt and pants as well.
Cas decided to leave his boxers on as he stepped into the water, immediately starting to shiver.
Sorin went in after him and hugged him close as they went to the center.
Cas clung tightly to Sorin. "Uh… now might be a bad time to tell you that I don't know how to swim."
Sorin swam away from the center just a bit. "I could teach you."
"Alright…" Cas held tightly to Sorin's arm as they floated in the water.
Sorin positioned Cas's arms around his neck. "Okay, first, you need to relax. I won't let you drown."
Cas nodded, hesitantly loosening his grip. His tail hovered in the water behind him and his ears turned back.
"Okay… good, good. Now, can you kick your legs for me?Softly though." Sorin held his arms. "Try to stay afloat."
Cas tried, but he panicked when he started sinking anyways. "It's not working!"
Sorin tighten his grip on him and lifted him up just enough so his head wasn't underwater. "Alright, Cas, i'm gonna let go a bit okay? I need you to try again but this time, hold your hands out in front of you to keep your balance." Sorin moved his hand from his arms to his wrists.
Cas obeyed, trembling slightly. However, when Sorin let him go, he just started sinking. He coughed and struggled to keep his head above the water.
"Cas, hey," he moved the wet hair from his face and kissed his temples. "Relax. Watch me," Sorin let him go but instantly regretted it when he began to sink. He pulled him up and tightened his grip on him.
Cas coughed again, shaking as he clung to Sorin again. "I… I-I don't think I'm very good at swimming…"
"It takes practice," he smiled at him softly. "But you don't have to if you don't want to. I could always carry you around here."
"I think… I'll just stay with you for now…" Cas wrapped his legs around Sorin's waist.
"Alright," Sorin extended his wings further before he tilted back to float on his back while he gripped onto Cas's thighs tightly.
Cas purred softly, but he didn't really like his fur being wet. He felt heavy and bogged down, though he didn't weigh any more.
