"Alright…" She says, shaking her head. You came off as strange but good strange, interesting strange. She got up and headed to the kitchen for food as her mother came downstairs. "Winter, I would highly suggest you leave or at least go to another room." (gonna go into third now. wanted to see how first would work and…EH. Also they need to talk or something, there needs to be a connection, a meeting, a spark. Something.)
Winter sighed softly. "I would…rather not be traveling right now. What room would you suggest i go to?" He asked, looking at Crystal. (Ok, and ok)
She shrugged. "Anywhere really. The kitchen or living room?" She advised. Crystal was cooking herself some dinner, humming away, her hair being braided by some vines.
He went into the kitchen, watching Crystal for a long monent. She looks tasssssttyyy. growled the demon. "Shut up!" He hissed, not seeming to realize he had spoken aloud.
She stopped her humming. "Oh sorry, was I bothering you?" She plucked some rosemary and added it to the soup, as her sister came down the stairs. "CRYSTAL! DID YOU STEAL MY AMETHYST RING!" "No Lilliana, go see if Joseph is using it for one of his machines." She looked at you, showed you her hand with the ring, and winked. She grinned and returned to her cooking.
Winter shook his head. "Oh, no sorry. I… wasn't talking to you." He said quickly. He chuckled softly at seeing the ring on her hand, a small smile flickering over his face. Fearless and cute. I like her. Then he blinked. She's four years younger than you!
She turned around as the braid was tied with a ribbon, and she began to sing an old love song, in french nonetheless. It was gorgeous as she chopped up some apples.
Winter sighed. That's a love song… He shook his head. She's adorable. He swallowed. Food…let us EAT her…. the demon growled. NO! Winter replied.
She then returned to her noodles, deciding to make mac and cheese, as the song floated through the house. Things were almost peaceful if there wasn't the sounds of her sister interrogating her brother on the floor up above. Crystal knew she would find a different ring, since her sister had so many different lovers.
"Is there anything I can help with?" He asked, looking over at her. He had only had a short stint with her sister, thankfully. He wasn't sure his patience could have taken much more of her nagging.
"Hm? Oh no I have everything handled but thank you." She finished out the song and got herself something to drink. "It's getting dark…" She realized, looking out the window. She then turned to you. "I could walk you home, if you like." She smiles softly.
He nodded, then smiled slightly. "You don't need to, but if you want to, then…sure." he said with a shrug.
"Well the roads are dangerous at night, a companion is always nice to have. Let me just finish this…" She sighed and finished her cooking, and let it sit. She then headed to the door and got on her boots, humming yet another song.
"If you walk me home, who's going to walk you home?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at her.
"Farra can, she's out in the forest right now. But as soon as I call her name she makes a bee line for me, and trot along happily until I send her off." She nods once. "I'll be alright, I can handle myself far better than my sister."
Winter chuckled softly. "Alright." He replied with a small smile.
The two headed out the door into the warm spring air. Faeries darted around the trees and the forest was full of night noises as they walked into the small city. Crystal just watched the night silently, very on edge and jumpy. She did not like night time very well. She wasn't afraid of the dark, but what was in it and with some bad experiences concerning wolves and her now dead cat, she had good reason to not like this time very much.
Winter glanced at her. She's jumpy…is she scared? Of what? Of me? "Hey, you okay?" He asked gently, looking at her.
She nods quickly, eyes scanning the forest, and getting closer to you, feeling a little safer near you. "I've had some bad experiences in the dark involving wolves so I'm ah, extra wary at night. I prefer to be in the city at night, a lot more lights. And less animals."
Winter nodded. "Oh. Okay." He said. That made sense. At least she wasn't scared of him. That would have been…he didnt know.
She jumped at howling, and took a deep breath. "It's to far off to hurt you Crystal, you are fine, just keep your head…" She took a few breaths. "Oh I wish I brought my staff, always feel safe with it."
Winter cautiously reached out and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's going to be fine." He reassured her gently, giving her a small smile.
She nodded. "Sorry…" When they reached the city, she relaxed and eased up, though she kept stumbling, eyes to focused on the moon. "Au claire de la lune, that's french for The Waltz of The Moon. It's my mothers favorite song to sing."
He nodded. "That's cool." He said softly, glancing over at her.
She nodded and went silent, trailing after you, as she looked over the magic school, the library. Suddenly a wind picked up, making her shiver a bit.
He looked at her. "Cold?" He asked gently, raking a hand through his dark hair.
"A little." She shrugged and smiled, feeling the awkwardness set in. She inwardly cursed herself a little for offering to walk him home, she was hoping they would talk more.
He pulled his jacket off, and put it around her shoulders gently. "If you want it." He said, looking down at his feet. "I don't feel the cold anymore." Not when the fire of hell is inside me…
She blushed and slid into it. "Oh well, thank you." She smiled warmly. "Where is your house?"
"Other end of town." He replied. "I really should get a horse, but horses are expensive." He shrugged slightly.
