"I don't know, Maylynn! I don't know what this feeling is!" He replied, tearing a hand through his hair.

"Of course you don't. You don't know about anything do you? Or why you do anything? Why you agreed to this stupid f#$%ing deal in the first place, or why you kept on saving me."
She says standing up and kicking a rock down the cliff angrily then turning around, taking a step away from the edge in case she fell, looking at the trees that circled their way halfway around the two.

Troy stood up, face expressionless. "Oh, forgive me for telling the truth." He snapped. "Forgive me for not knowing what my feelings are, because I've been having to tamp them down and kill them for so long." He shook his head.

"I forgive you"
She says crossing her arms and sitting back down on a bigger rock, about three feet away from troy.

He snorted softly. "Whatever you say." He walked a few feet away, looking up at the sky. It doesn't matter. Shes just a girl, that will eventually die. That's how the world works.

"I'm sorry"
She says giving him a side glance, then turning to look at him as he looked up to the sky.
"I just…..im confused. I haven't even had anyone in my life ever since i was little…..then you pop up and…. I don't know"
She says looking back down at her hands.

"It's okay. I understand." He replied softly, not looking at her.

She felt bad for all if this. For making the deal, screwing up and him being turned back into a human all because of her. She ruined his life….or whatever it was. And it made her feel like crap.
"Okay, well…..can you tell me when you think you know?"
She says looking back up at him.

He shrugged. "Like I've been telling you, I don't know what the hell is going on." He replied softly.

"That's why I'm not asking for it right now. When you find out, if you do, in just asking you to tell me."
She says with a sigh.

"Alright." He replied softly. He turned to look at her. "So why did you?" He asked. "I may not know why, but why did you?"

"Well…..i guess I don't know either."
She says looking back up at him. She really didn't know. Her heart started to pound on her chest, then a smile quivering up her lips.
"I mean…..i didn't hate it though, so that's saying something"
She says looking away afterwards, dipping her hand in the water right before it falls down the waterfall.

Troy chuckled. "Ah. Well, i guess we both have to stumble through this blindly, then." He said.

"What is this though?"
She asks referring to what he had just said.
Stumble through what exactly? She wanted to know what he thought this was

He hesitated, then shrugged. "I…dont know." He admitted with a chuckle.

"Hmm, okay"
She says with a little smile, having to peel her eyes away from him.
Her heart just went running away from her when she saw him. The butterflies in her stomach were going crazy. They weren't even doing anything right now? They were three feet apart anyway!
So why was she feeling this way just thinking about him.

Troy hesitated for a moment, then sighed softly, shaking his head slightly. He raked a hand through his dark hair.

"Hey, what should we do now?"
She says dipping her hand into the water once again.

He shrugged. "I don't know. Up to you?" He said slowly.

"Okay, tell me, what do you enjoy doing…..in general. To maybe keep you occupied and such?"

He hesitated, then shrugged. "Nothing. I spend my time reaping souls." He replied.

"What about when there are no souls to reap?"
She says standing up, but still looking down at the water, slipping her shoes off, thinking about getting in.

He laughed. "There are always souls to reap." He replied. "Just because you don't see me reap them doesn't mean I'm not reaping."

Her face turning red at a certain thought, but not daring to say it. He wasn't…..what was he doing while they were……. No
Right!!!
"Oh gosh……that doesn't mean-"
She says turning to him, really hoping she was wrong.

He raised an eyebrow. "What doesn't mean what?* He asked, looking at her.

"I mean…..when we were- you weren't reaping souls then? We're you?"

He hesitated. "Uhm…a little at the beginning, but otherwise, no." He replied.

"Oh gosh"
She says covering her red face and turning back around, stepping into the cold water as they rushed around her ankles.
"How embarrassing….."
She mumbles to herself, but wouldn't be surprised if Troy heard it.

"Hey, I only did it during the very beginning." He said. "Not the whole time."

"Still! It…….its still embarrassing."
She says looking down at her feet still, every now and then a fish swimming by……then falling down the waterfall.
"Sorry… I was probably weird during it anyway……I've never done anything like that….."
She says taking off her hood/cloak (whatever the heck it's called) and setting it on a nearby rock, stepping deeper into the water. She wasn't about to kill herself or anything, she was just going to enjoy the cold water.
