Paisley quickly hid her face in her book, as her face got more red as well. Oh my gosh… Oh my gosh… Oh my gosh. What is this?? She glanced over at Meredith from behind her book and smiled. Ador– nevermind…!

Wait… ”adorable”? Oh boy! This just went from zero to a hundred. … This is kinda awkward. Meredith kept her eyes on her paper without really seeing it.

What? I never said… adorable… what are you talking.. thinking about? Paisley cringed to herself and sighed. hhh why am I like this…

You started to… Unless you speak French… which makes things… not worse, I guess but definitely… confusing? I think… I don't know anymore. Meredith let out a slow breath through her nose to try and calm down. This is just really strange.

Nope… no French or the word adorable coming from me, you must be hearing things… I'm just going to read now… actually nah… Paisley put her book back, still slight hiding her face though. She got out a sketchbook and a pen.

Meredith chuckled, softly to avoid being caught, at the denial. Suurree. She thought sarcastically. Good-bye privacy, am I right? her smile turned a bit remorseful at that thought.

Paisley sighed again. That's right… what are we going to do about this? I mean, we're stuck like this for a while I bet… probably forever…

Meredith pursed her lips, before setting aside her project and taking out her laptop. We need more information about this. … Just stay off the conspiracy sites. She pulled up the Internet. ”Spontaneous telepathy between two people”… Her eyes darted back to Paisley. You can sit next to me if you want to read some of this stuff yourself.

Paisley nodded and scooted her chair closer to Meredith, reading when she pulled up. But words make Paisley fall asleep, and it wasn't that hard to be tired after what had already happened that day. Before she could get any good information, she fell asleep on Meredith's shoulder.

Meredith stiffened when she felt Paisley lean against her shoulder. She glanced at the sleeping girl with a small smile. Adorable yourself. Oh, I wonder if you can still hear this. Sorry… Stay asleep, don't wake up yet.
She tried to focus on the computer screen and keep any stray thoughts as quiet as she could.

Paisley was still asleep, with no sign of waking up. Not a single thought came into Meredith's mind from her.

After a bit, Paisley finally woke up. She jolted up, noticing that she fell asleep on Meredith's shoulder. Oh my gosh… I'm so so sorry! I didn't mean to fall asleep…

Meredith chuckled lightly with a warm smile. Good morning, Sleepyhead. You don't have to apologize. I know you were tired. At least I did learn something while you were asleep.

Paisley let out a breath. Thanks… so what did you find out!! She was interested to hear what Meredith had to say.

Apparently we don't have to worry about each other's thoughts when we’re asleep. She smirked a bit. And how c- Oh no… not going there now.

Paisley giggled a little, careful to stay quiet so the librarian wouldn't get mad. That's good… if we could I bet it would be… strange, to say the least. She looked at Meredith and smiled, then shifting her gaze to the computer. So… what is going on with us?

Definitely. Meredith agreed. So far, I haven't really found anything yet… Mostly theory sites and science fiction stuff. Did find some about the medical possibility of telepathy and a couple about the actual science of it. But nothing specific about what’s going on with us… Sorry.

Paisley nodded a little. Okayy… it's okay, no reason to apologize. How's your writing project going?

Meredith shrugged, It’s pretty much done. Kinda was just going to try and… polish it up a bit today but I think our mental health is more important at the moment. Not that I think we're going crazy or anything! I just meant that… Oh geez, what did I mean by that? I guess it's the only applicable word I could come up with. She ran a hand through her short black hair nervously.

I mean… I wouldn't be surprised if we were going crazy… or if I was going crazy… Paisley smiled and shook her head. You wanna leave the library and do something else?

Sure. I don't really like having to stay in one place for too long anyway. Meredith smiled, putting her laptop and papers away. Did you have someplace in mind or did you just want to walk around?

Umm… not really, so maybe we should just walk around for now. Paisley scooted her chair back to where it was before. She stood up and grabbed her backpack, now she had a bunch of energy. Who knew sleeping on a shoulder would give me so much energy…

Meredith chuckled with a very light blush. You’re welcome. I had no idea I was so comfortable. I’ve always been told I was a bit bony… Well more like sharp jointed since I work out, I guess. She definitely had a toned, athletic figure but she had been taken out of a game once when another player blamed Meredith’s elbows for a cut on the head.

Paisley smiled seeing Meredith's blush. Okay that is not something I would normally tell people… I honestly didn't mean to. But uh… good job working out? I mean, I can't ever keep up with it so I just don't.

I guess it just depends on who you hang out with. Meredith shrugged, brushing aside the comment. It helps me focus… Keeps my head together… Chances are if you can't find me where I’m supposed to be; I'm in the gym or on a run… I don't dislike the library either.

Good to know. We should go… we're kinda just standing here… in the library… talking in each other's heads… Paisley said with a gesture to the door.

Meredith could help the light snort as she nodded. Yeah, when you say it like that… It sounds pretty bad… If I saw someone else doing that I’d probably think they were crazy or something… Or that they were— Ok, let's get outta here. She smiled taking a few steps toward the door but not leaving Paisley behind.

Paisley followed Meredith then passing her so she could hold the door open for her. What were you about to say there, huh? She had a little smile as she let Meredith through the door.

Nothing! Meredith’s face went a bit red as she answered quickly. It's too soon to think about that anyway. Please drop it. … Sorry if that was a bit loud, I don't know how the volume works on this thing yet.

Okay… of you say so… And that wasn't too loud, don't worry. They finally left the building and started walking

That’s a relief. Last thing I wanna do is give you a headache with this… and my own stupid thoughts. Meredith easily kept pace with the other girl. So I told you three of my favorite places to be on campus, what are some of yours? She smiled.
