Cassie looked up from the tree and saw Cade, registering her appearance with confusion, but waving her over. "Cade!"
Cassie looked up from the tree and saw Cade, registering her appearance with confusion, but waving her over. "Cade!"
Cade recognized her voice and and jogged to the tree "Hey Cassie! I brought you something i hope you like it" Cade holds out what looks like an old music box. It's paint had been chipped and you could tell she had fixed it up in her spare time "It's from around the 19th century!"
Cassie's eyes widened as she stared at in in awe. "This is incredible," she breathed, turning it over in her hands. "Where'd you get it?"
"Well a bit of here and a bit there. But the biggest part was found in an old house that was in the shut down sectors hehe" Cade chuckled
"That's so cool," Cassie gushed. "Does it work?"
"Yeah it does. It took forever to fix though" Cade smiled at Cassie
"Oh my stars, that is awesome," Cassie grinned and turned the key on the bottom of the box.
a soft but foreign song played. it must have once lulled a child to sleep.
"oh it's beautiful" Cade smiled and laughed
Cassie giggled. "I'm going to give this to my parents so I don't accidentally break it."
A bubble of laughter came from Cade as she said "okay and even if you do break it i have the blueprints i made of it"
Cassie nodded, taking the music box inside and handing it to her mother, who smiled. "Cadence is here, then?" Her mother asked, to which Cassie nodded. "Well, tell her hi from me," her mother added. Cassie nodded again. "Will do."
Cade sat down after Cassie started walking off
Alpha walked over to the girl that Cassie was talking to, “Hello! My names Alpha. What’s yours?” Who was she though?
Vesper sighed softly. More people. Because this wasn't hard enough already.
Cassie made her way back outside and called to Cade, "my mother says hello!"
Aquila's eyes darted between the girls, who seemed to have forgotten the offer. It didn't matter. They could corner Karina at a different time, with a carefully devised plan. He slunk out of the circle, shooting daggers at Vesper to do the same.
Karina felt a bit confused at how the conversation was currently going. It went from nearly stealing a ship, crying, a strange game, to everyone in their own groups. It seemed Cassie and Alpha were talking to the other adult and Aquila and Vesper sneaking away. It seemed that Alana was staring into space, day dreaming. Sighing, she looked over to the two boys. "What? Holding out on this game of yours after you offered to teach me?" she taunted. It was better than being alone.
Vesper waited for a moment, then followed Aquila slowly. Am I in trouble? Did I say something wrong again? He wondered, biting his lip.
(Aw, I wanna give Vesper a hug)
(Ikr this poor cinnamon roll…)
(same tho XD no hugs for Vesper)
"You didn't seem very keen on learning," Aquila quipped back, slowly drifting to a side of the house away from the others.
Vesper put his hands in his pockets, quiet still. He would wait and see what Aquila would say. Hopefully he's not like mom… Then he shook his head slightly. It doesn't matter if he is or not.
Karina took a few steps closer. "I am. Are you going to teach me or should I come later after you two are done acting suspicious?"
(be back tomorrow)
(Nuuuuu okie see ya!)
Aquila arched a playful brow, slipping into his role too easily. "Are you going to actually pull out your portscreen or continue complaining?" Almost there… they just had to round that corner and they'd be hidden from sight.
Vesper bit his lower lip slightly, trying to figure out what, if anything, to say. He decided to remain quiet. If he said anything, he would probably just say something wrong.
Karina scowled at the boy, pulling out her device. The screen glowed in response as it turned on. She wanted to grumble as she did so for Aquila's snarky reply, but wanted to act more mature. She wasn't about to be treated as a whiny little princess. "So, what's it called?" she asked, keeping her voice calm.
(ok ok really. bye now lol)
(oh lol)
"Actually," Alana spoke up. "Yeah, I want the name of the game too, I might actually want to try it out, despite all the danger and risks involved."
