@Bananapudding

Sorin held him tighter and eyed Kyoko in a way that indicated he wanted her to leave.

But she ignored it, of course. "That doesn't change the fact that you love them."

@Fraust

"Maybe not, but he clearly didn't want me there…" Cas turned his ears back again, turning his head away from Kyoko. "I-I lived alone in the streets for three years. Would've been longer if Sorin hadn't found me…"

@Fraust

Cas glanced back at Kyoko, his gold flecked eyes shining with tears. He didn't respond, but he seemed far more innocent and delicate when he was like this.

@Bananapudding

"Kyoko, I think you should–"

She held up a finger, silencing him instantly. "Stop crying. Crying doesn't solve anything." Her words were harsh, but she kept the same soft tone.

Sorin narrowed his eyes on her, daring her to say something else.

@Fraust

Cas quivered, a soft whimper escaping his lips as he tried not to cry. He kept his eyes open, knowing his tears would likely fall if he blinked.

@Bananapudding

Kyoko stood up and went over to him. Sorin let go of Cas and stood in front of him– an attempt to block her from getting any closer.

She sighed and scrunched up her nose. "You can't keep babying him, Sorin."

@Fraust

"I'm… I'm n-not a baby…" Cas argued weakly, trying to brush away the tears that had started falling. He hid his face from Kyoko as best he could, not needing her insults right now.

@Fraust

Cas cowered behind Sorin, seeming antsy. He didn't like Kyoko being here, especially since he was crying.

@Bananapudding

"He has no spine, Sorin. You need to stop this. It's not helping him, it's hurting him," she shook off his grip. "He needs to learn to heal his own wounds."

@Fraust

"I've been trying to heal my own damn wounds for fifteen years, and look where that's got me?" Cas sounded bitter, almost, but not necessarily directed at Kyoko. "I've exhausted all that energy. Not getting help weakened me, not trying to get it."

@Bananapudding

Kyoko walked away from them, not glancing back once. Sorin had forgotten she had done it all on her own, her and her elder brother, so he couldn't really blame her for seeing things differently.

He spun around and embraced him, rubbing his back soothingly.

@Fraust

Cas cried softly as he clung to Sorin, weakening more when Kyoko had left. He knew Sorin wouldn't make fun of him for this moment of weakness, but Kyoko made him very uneasy.

@Bananapudding

Sorin held him and was prepared to stay as long as he needed to until Cas felt better. He kissed the top of his head and stroked his hair.

@Fraust

Cas lay his head against Sorin's chest, listening to the angel's heartbeat to try and calm himself down. He kept trying to brush away his tears, hearing his father's voice telling him he's weak for crying and feeling the guilt associated with it.

@Bananapudding

"Don't listen to anything she says, alright?" He lowered his head and lifted his chin up to look at him. "Crying doesn't make you weak, Cas," he wiped his tears away.

@Fraust

Cas huddled up in Sorin's lap. "And why does she keep interrupting…? You're sixteen. You can make your own decisions, right?"

@Bananapudding

She did this on purpose. It was no wonder Kyoko had left without putting much of a fight like she usually did. "I honestly don't know how to explain it."

@Bananapudding

Sorin sighed and clenched his teeth as though it were a way to prevent more blood from rushing to his face. "I'm just as confused as you are."

@Fraust

"A little, but that's beside the point." Cas turned Sorin's head towards him, forcing him to make eye contact.
