He nodded. "Johnny Cash." He touched another. "This one is alt-pop." He said. "This one is…I'm not sure." He looked over at her with a small smile.
He nodded. "Johnny Cash." He touched another. "This one is alt-pop." He said. "This one is…I'm not sure." He looked over at her with a small smile.
“Hand it up here, maybe I can decipher it.” She motioned for him to give it to her and a small smile appeared on her face at the different possibilities of what songs could be on it.
He handed it to her, looking at the others still. Leo bounded over to him happily. Jay petted the puppy gently.
She was silent as she studied it, eyebrows furrowed in concentration. “Zeke’s…favorite…..song mix?” She made out, looking towards him with a shrug, “I think that’s what it says, but it doesn’t list the songs. We’ll just have to play them and find out what they are.”
Jay laughed. "Alright. That works." He said with a smile, standing up. Leo whined, nuzzling at his leg. He reached down and picked up the little puppy.
“We’re playing this one then?” She guessed with a small smile, reaching over and petting Leo for a moment. Shifting around, she opened the CD player and changed out the discs, putting the old disc in the case.
"Sure." He said, petting the puppy gently, a small smile on his face. Leo squirmed happily.
She pressed play on the song and stepped back with a smile, listening to the CD as it started to play. She couldn’t tell the song immediately, so she looked go Jay to see if he knew it.
Jay smiled slightly, and started to hum along, closing his eyes. Leo barked softly.
“I don’t know what song this is,” She admitted, glancing at him and smiling at his humming. He looked really freaking cute humming and holding Leo, the suit adding to it as well.
Jay looked up, smiling and still humming. "How do you not know this song?" He asked with a smile.
Delia fake scowled at him, “I lived in he country, remember? My parents loved country songs, so that’s what I know the best.” She sighed and listened to the song for another moment, shaking her head, “I know as soon as you say the name I’ll remember it.”
"Its one of Ed Sheeran's ones. I don't actually remember the name." Jay replied.
“Well, it’s not Perfect, because otherwise I’d be dancing,” She sighed and listed to the song a little longer, a tiny smile twitching onto her face when she started remembering lyrics, “Is it Galway Girl?”
Jay nodded, and started to sing along softly.
Her smile stayed as she sang along as well, going back to her dancing sort of. She wasn’t as energetic with her dancing as before, but she didn’t just sit and sway.
Jay stood. "Care to dance?" He asked, extending a hand to her, his pale hair tumbling into his face in light curls.
“I’d love to,” She replied, blushing slightly as she took his hand, “Gonna be interesting with crutches, I’m sorry in advance if they squish your foot.”
He chuckled. "That's fine." He replied, gently pulling her into a dancing position.
To make it a little easier, she got rid of one of her crutches and put her free hand on his shoulder. She wasn’t really leaning on him, just using him to balance so they could dance. A smile brushed over her face and she nodded to tell him she was ready whenever.
Jay started dancing. Not slowly, but not fast either, a gentle, easy rhythm that stayed with the tempo of the music.
Delia danced with him, learning how to dance with a crutch as she went. She was fairly certain she had accidentally hit his foot with her crutch, but she didn’t say anything and focused on the movement and how fun it was.
Jay smiled, and didn't say anything about her crutch, still humming softly as they danced. Leo barked, and got tangled up in Jay's feet. Jay sighed, and pushed Leo away with his foot gently, helping Delia keep her balance as best he could.
“Wonder what song will play next,” She said gently, looking at Leo with a smile when he got pushed out of the way and glanced up at them with puppy eyes.
Leo whined softly. Jay sighed softly. "I don't know." He said with a small smile.
She smiled and shrugged, already lost back in the moment. Being able to listen to music and dance was too good of a opportunity to miss.
Jay held her gently as they danced, humming along to the music when he knew it, remaining quiet when he didn't. Leo watched them quietly.
Delia hummed along as well, her memory of the song a little fuzzy. She still knew most of the words though and sang along very quietly, eyes fluttering closed.
Jay spun her lightly, not seeming to notice that afterwards, he pulled her closer than she had been before.
She laughed lightly, grip on his shoulder tightening slightly in surprise. Delia didn’t object though, pulling herself closer to him as well after he spun her.
