He nodded weakly, seeing stars. The weight of the situation had already hit him. A pit of terror ate away at his stomach and he felt like he might collapse at any moment.

Urielle held him close "Nathaniel you must stay awake a bit longer. He'll want to see you well when he comes back."

Jerch stood "so why are you here? To vent your anger?"
V relaxed slightly and shook his head "I'm here to make a deal."

"I c… I c-can't…" Nathaniel was breathing heavily, trying his best to stay conscious. "I can't…"

"do it for valderian, please." Urielle urged, wrapping his wings around Nathaniel, having seen v do it and seeing that it had a calming effect.

Jerch glanced up "what kind of deal?"
"Heal Nathaniel of all his injuries, past and present."
"In exchange for what?"
"Me."

Nathaniel whimpered quietly in distress, but he did seem to relax a bit more when Urielle wrapped his wings around him. He wished he were in a state to be excited to see the older angel again, but these circumstances made him a little too distraught to think of anything.

After a while, urielle glanced down at his watch "two hours. We have to find him. Can you walk?"

Jerch's eyes glowed with desire "you?"
"Yes, but heal Nathaniel first."

"M-Maybe…" Nathaniel got to his feet unsteadily, clutching Urielle's arm to keep himself upright.

Urielle helped v stand. He waved a hand and brought them to the cliffs where v was via angel ability.

"V I'll have to take your memories of him. To ensure that you won't back out of the deal for sentimental reasons."
"Then you'll be left with a shell,"
"A shell that I will fill with my love for you."

Nathaniel covered his mouth with one hand to keep himself from coughing, screaming, or throwing up. He still had to lean on Urielle for support and looked terrified.

"there," urielle pointed to the top of the cliffs where v stood, wings spread wide.

"Looks like we have company. Hello Urielle, long time no see.ah and I've seen you brought Nathaniel."

Nathaniel started shaking again, dangerously close to passing out. "V…? W-What are you doing?" He asked weakly.

Jerch smiled "why he's only selling his soul to me for your safety and well being. Isn't that sweet."

"What?! No no no, V, don't do that, please!" Nathaniel begged. "I'm not worth it, p-please…"

"Give me one reason as to why you're not worth it and I'll drop the deal." V said glancing up at him and flinching

"Because you're my boyfriend and I'm not worth any more than you are! You're acting like I'm some god you need to sacrifice everything for! My wings aren't worth your enslavement to him." Nathaniel rubbed at the tears flowing down his cheeks. "They're not even on the same level, love. My wings will heal to the extent they were before, and that's fine. I'm used to it. I can live without my wings, but I can't live without you."

"You are worth it. Never think you're not." He winked and wrapped his arms around Jerch's neck, pulling him down with him over the cliffside

"V!" Nathaniel screamed, trying to run over but just falling to the ground. "Oh god… oh god, oh god, oh god…" He whispered breathlessly, gripping his head in his hands with his eyes wide.

Urielle flew over to Nathaniel then glanced over to where jerch and v flew over the edge "please no, please…." He wispered,

Nathaniel curled up on the ground, shaking and sobbing. "N-No… please no…" He whispered over and over through his strangled sobs.

"can you stay here?" Urielle asked, shakily getting up and glancing over the edge. "I'm going to look for him."

Nathaniel nodded, staying huddled on the ground where he was while Urielle stepped away from him.

Urielle flew over the she to the ground below. He found V, laying flat of his back, his wings singed around the edges and one seemed to broken. Next to him was a black spot, as if something had burned.

Nathaniel couldn't move to join him, but his heart was racing. He hoped beyond hope that V was okay, not knowing what his intent was in jumping off.

Urielle scrambled over to where V layed "Valderian? oh God…please V wake up! we need you!" Urielle cradled V in his arms and flew back up to the cliffs, carefull to not hurt him

"V!" Nathaniel managed to force himself to his feet and ran over, clutching V's hand tightly. "No, no, no, no, no… please, please be alive…"

"he's breathing but it's slow. I think he sent Jerch back to hell…there was a black patch next to him." Urielle said, smoothing back V's hair

Nathaniel nodded shakily, holding his breath to try and force himself to calm down. He hugged V tightly, shaking.

"Damn it Valderian," Urielle muttered "why…why put yourself at risk like that? we could've found another way." He bowed his head and let a few tears roll down his face,

"W-We gotta get him back home…" Nathaniel whispered, his voice breaking. "He… he won't do well out here…"

Ureille nodded and picked V up. "i'll follow you, I can transport all of us." he said, glancing down at V
