Name: Gavriel Martin
Age (12-18): 13
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homoflexible
Species: Wraith
Curse/curses (no more than two): He is unable to feel or touch anything at all. His hand just passes through it as if it were never there but anything meant to be a barrier will be a barrier, e.g a wall or mountain. If anything tries to touch him, it also goes through him and alters his features to look more like an actual wraith. Second is TBD
Personality: Pessimistic but he tries not to take it out on people, always down and depressed, just makes barely the effort required to do things, apathetic
Appearance: Dark skin, purple-ish eyes, small stature, stands at about 4'9 but his body shape looks as if he were older, black curly hair that gets everywhere, really skinny, wears black oversized clothes, especially hoodies, that don't show his body shape
Backstory: He was born like this after his father had his cells changed and his genetics, causing it to get passed on down to him. It's not normal by any means and he shouldn't have even got those genes but things happen. While his mom was giving birth, she basically said that she couldn't feel anything while she was pushing. The second he came out into the world, his mother looked at him in horror and immediately gave him up for adoption. His body was still solid a few years after birth but he started losing shape near ten years of age. Ever since, he's been in and out of orphanages and foster homes, bouncing back and forth since no one wanted him.

(ackkk sorry i totally forgot to start this! i’ll start it in a few minutes)
Max sat through orientation, bored half to death. It was his third year at the school, and the headmaster, Mr.Lion, gave the same speech every year. Max was sure by next year he’d be able to repeat it word for word.
“And so all of you first-years, make sure to listen to your upperclassmen!” Mr.Lion said after an anecdote he found particularly funny, guffawing. Max sighed. At least he was nearing the end. “And as I always say, don’t make an ass of yourself!” Max was certain that Mr.Lion fancied himself to be hip when he said that, though the opposite was true. “You’re now dismissed to lunch!”
“Thank god,” muttered Max, standing up and making his way to the mess hall, his usual smile finding its way back to his face. This was usually the time that people made friends and cliques were formed. Max practically bounced, excited to meet new people.
Max took a seat near the front of the cafeteria, where he could easily be spotted and hoped that someone would come by. It wasn’t that he didn’t have friends, but most of then had graduated last year, or chosen to befriend someone more “popular” so now Max had to hope someone came along to sit near him. His hopes, as usual, were high.
Ezra walked into the lunchroom, clutching his paper bag lunch close to his chest. He knew no one, which in a way… it was better. Better that he didn’t meet new people or make friends. He wished he could just be at home with his books to study rather than having to talk to people. Ezra felt like he was putting everyone at risk.
Ezra was walking by the front of the cafeteria, hoping to find a seat alone, but then something tugged at his sleeve. It was his astral, trying to pull him to a stop. “Hey, come on, let’s go,” He murmured, but his astral wouldn’t let up. It wanted to go sit over with a guy who had curly brown hair. Ezra sighed and muttered, “Fine, but I’m not making friends.” His astral seemed okay with that, then disappeared as he walked over to the guy, “Um, hi, can I sit here?” Ezra asked shyly.
Ava's leg bounced throughout the entire presentation but a smile was on her face. Once she was in the cafeteria she looked around trying to figure out where to sit. She walks over and sits next to a random upperclassman. (Max) Her goal this year was for no one to know her curse but also to make some friends.
Lexath looked around, keeping their mouth shut as they tried to find an empty table. Of course they couldn't find a completely empty one so they crept over to a table with three others. Lexath sat as far away from them as possible, as much as they wanted to make friends, they couldn't have their curse actibg up.
(Also, if anyone want to know what an astral looks like cause I can’t describe it good enough to save my own life, here’s an image: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/67/2f/54/672f54344a03aedf6232471eeb8e6340.png)
Max’s eyes lit up when he noticed the others at his table. “Hi guys! You are all welcome to sit here!” he said excitedly. “My name is Max!” He beamed, glancing at all of them, even the one who sat at the other end of the table. Max naturally had kind of a loud voice, so he was sure even that kid could hear him. “What are your names?”
Lexath stayed quiet, though it was obvious how much they wanted to awnser. I just wanna make frieeeeeendssssss!
Great, this guy’s friendly. Ezra silently cursed his astral for wanting him to sit here. Ezra quietly unpacked his lunch, which consisted of a turkey sandwich and an apple, as he mumbled, “My name’s Ezra Wakefield.”
“I’m Ava!” She says smiling wide. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Are you new here?” Max asked, trying to make conversation. “I’m a third year, so if you need anything, you can count on me!” Unless it’s a full moon, he added mentally. He was basically useless those days, but he didn’t want to sound so typical, and also, they didn’t have to know he was a werewolf yet.
Lexath remebered they could sign. "I'm a first year, I think. Time goes a lot slower for me." they signed from across the table.
“Max!!” A girl with long, horridly brush brushed black hair dashed down the cafeteria to her friend, where she saw multiple other people crowding around them. Romilly was a second year, and she had formed a preference to Max last year, mostly for the fact he was the nicest one to her. She ran up to the table and threw her arms around Max’s shoulders to just stand there and catch her breath for a moment.
(If they didn’t know each other before, I can change it no problem)
“I was homeschooled,” Ezra said quietly, quickly biting into his sandwich in hopes of not getting asked more questions. The further I stay away from people, the better. He didn’t have the option to try to make friends.
"I'm a first-year! I went to a more normal private school before this," She explains. the smile was still on her face but her leg began to bounce under the table.
Max grinned, turning to face the girl. “Hey Romilly! Do you wanna sit down?” he asked her. He looked at the others again. “I can be your guide to the school! If you want me to, that is.”
“Yeah,” Romilly untangled her arms from around him, looking at him with a happy smile, which soon shifted from him to the others “Who are they?”
"Can you guys sign?" Lexath asked, moving their stuff closer to the group. They opened their lunch bag and pulled out a baggie of acorns, they were actually pretty good. It was something a lot of fae's ate.
“They’re newbies!” Max replied. “They’re all pretty cool.” He noticed Lexath signing and remembered the sign language class he had taken last year. ”I know a bit,” he signed to Lexath.
Ava turned to see Lexath just on time. "I can!" She speaks and signs. "My parents made me learn at least 3 languages so I chose ASL, BSL, and Latin. Three languages they would find useless!" She also wanted to learn sign so she could make herself go deaf and never have to listen to anyone again but then she found out written and signed orders were included in the curse.
"Awesome, I prefer to talk like this becuase of my curse." They signed with one hand, the other dipping some acorns into peanut butter. Lexath tossed the acorns into their mouth and crunched for a bit, swallowing them.
