Aw, I love her!
Aw, I love her!
Thanks! She’s really sad in Addar and has a lot of emotional turmoil and dies.
So this’ll be fun for her.
spoiLER ALERT
(so…I'm super super sorry about this but I'm really busy rn and can't post my character yet. Sorry!)
(That's fine!)
Name: Lynn Adastra
Nicknames:
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Lynn is very tall, with brilliant green eyes with flecks of gold. He has brown hair, that is a little shaggy, though not long. He has scarring over his back, and a tattoo on his left upper arm of a dragon, curling around his arm. His nose has a slight crook in it from when it was once broken in a fight.
Height: 6'3"
Personality: Lynn can have a very fiery, quick temper, that flares up at random moments. However, he can be a very gentle, kind person, especially around people he trusts. He has a habit of talking to inanimate objects sometimes, especially when he's frustrated. Despite that, he is very good at what he does. He has a quick wit, which often takes the form of dry humor and sarcasm, along with a bit of scathing humor. His soft side isn't something he shows often.
Skills: Hacking, marksmanship, pulling off a con.
Weakness: sometimes he is a bit of a "shoot first, ask questions later" kind of person, and he doesn't trust easily
Fears: secrets being found out, being captured/killed/tortured for what he is
Background (can be revealed in rp if you want): (will come out in RP)
Other: he is half-alien, though this is NOT obvious, and only he knows it.
(hope he's okay!)
(Sorry I was busy before, but thanks Lori, love yours too!)
Lynn is great!
I'll post a starter in a little bit
Thanks! he's probably going to end up like the unofficial leader lol or maybe like that one dude that everybody listens to and then ignores XD
Okay!
(Sorry this took so long!)
'Infiltrate the Angel's Sanctuary and capture the human-like 0017,' were your orders. The Angel's Sanctuary was more like a prison, what with it being so heavily guarded and the owners treating their inmates like trash. You and two others had already reached the base. Which was surprising, considering you weren't granted any special technology. The government had sent you three in, knowing that the chances of survival were slim. You were like guinea pigs. But apparently, very strong and sneaky guinea pigs, as you and the others were so close to reaching 0017's chamber.
(it's fine!)
Lynn was silent. He was hacking their way through the building, tapping on a small wrist device to jam and disable the cameras and microphones in random areas of the building, including the area they were in. By making it look like a widespread issue in the systems, it made it easier for them to stay hidden. Hopefully. He couldn't afford to be captured. He glanced around at the other two, remaining silent as he let one of them take the lead, since his attention had to be divided between the hacking and moving.
Aya stepped forwards, the doors clicking open as she came to them. She patted the pistol hanging on her thigh as if to make sure it was still there. She nodded her head. “Let’s go. The Angel is waiting.”
Micah fingered the dagger hanging from her belt before stepping after Aya. "I can't believe we're doing this," she muttered to herself. Raising her voice a little she turned back to Lynn. "This better not end up like last time. It took forever to get here, and we can't afford to mess up."
0017 stood in her chamber, patiently waiting for someone to walk in and give her an order. She would only follow orders if they were given to her in that cell. While she waited, however, she felt something whenever a monitor walked by. Fear. She was well acquainted with that emotion. She often wondered why she was the only who "malfunctioned" and was able to develop emotions. Is that a crime? she wondered.
Lynn looked at Micah. "Last time?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Which last time? He had done stuff like this several times before. He tapped on the wrist device, and sucked in a breath. "Guys, they're patching up the backdoor I got in with. We've gotta move faster or they'll find us." He said, walking to 0017's door, and attaching a small cable from the door pad to his device, clicking quickly to hack into the door.
Aya pulled the gun out of its holster, checking it and making sure it was in proper order, partly out of habit, partly out of concealed nervousness. She had yet to have to fire it. But it was always good to be prepared.
"You remember," Micah protested. "The time you broke into the wrong room and we ended up having to fight a whole room full of Angels. And don't go saying it was all my fault again, because it was most definitely your fault." She folded her arms impatiently as she watched Lynn work.
Lynn snorted. "It so was not my fault. I was working with flawed information! Don't blame me!" He replied. The door pinged, and slid open. He grinned. "There we go." He tapped a few buttons, stepping away so Aya or Micah could confront 0017 first, glancing up at one of the cameras. He had already disabled the cameras in 0017's cell, along with the monitor on the door pad. For all intents and purposes, it would look like 0017 had simply…teleported from her cell.
Micah bounded into the room shouting, "Finally!" She stopped short, cocking her head and staring at 0017. "This is it? This is 0017?"
0017 looked up at the girl. A human. She tilted her head. "Has the sanctuary been taken over?" Curiosity was definitely not the first trait someone would think about when they thought of an Angel. In fact, it wasn't allowed. Which might have been why 0017 was in chains. "Will you release me?"
Lynn stepped into view, and muttered a curse at the sight of the chains. "Someone hurry and get them off. My patch is failing, and they'll find me in the network soon. We have to be out before then." He said, rapidly typing on the device, his lower lip caught between his teeth.
The look of shock immediately disappeared off Aya’s face. She knelt down and started sawing the chains with a quick efficiency. “We’re here to save you, Aya said to the robot. “That’s all you need to know for now.”
"Yeah, we're the good guys," Micah told 0017, trying to use her dagger to cut through the chains on the robot's other side. It didn't work, and she stopped, looking over at how quickly Aya was doing it. "How are you doing that? My dagger won't cut through it at all."
She raised her knife for half a second, showing the serrated edges. “Reinforced and tempered steel,” she said, “can cut through most things if used properly.” She slipped the knife back into its sheath and snapped the small remainder of the chain the rest of the way with her hands before starting on the next one.
"Damn, I should've thought of that," Micah muttered as she watched Aya work. Her gaze flickered over to Lynn who looked really stressed and worried, which made her stressed and worried. "Come on," she murmured. "Aya, come on."
Lynn bit his lip. "Micah." He said, eyes snapping to her. "I need you to lead these two out. I'm going to get into their main system, hack into one of the robots, and lead them on a chase." He said rapidly. "They fixed my patch. We have…maybe minutes until they reboot the system and see us. I'm going to get back in and take down the cameras, but i need to divert their attention. Got it?" Without waiting for answer, he ducked out, going to a computer terminal down the hallway, plugging into it and typing quickly.
0017 was free from the chains. She was analyzing the humans and their situation as best as she could. "Are you taking me with you? Where are we going?" her question was not directed at one single person, she seemed to be asking everyone.
"Somewhere safe," Micah told the robot. "Come on." She rose and stepped into the hallway, taking a walking a few feet before she realized no one was following her. She ducked back into the room. "I said come on! Lynn's not going to be able to hold them off for long. We need to leave now."
0017 nodded once. They are a human, but I must obey them. She started to follow Micah, walking right alongside her.
