Dude Tolkien is amazing. The lore of middle earth is complex, and serves as inspiration for lots of my things. I have an account in a website that has stuff i wrote in it. I call my lore 'Imavition', and it's a world filled with magic and history.
Imavition is inspired by Tolkien, the Elder Scrolls lore, A Song of Ice and Fire lore(more commonly known as the Game of Thrones. I prefer the books), and some other generic fantasy tropes which i put a unique spin on.

Tolkien was the king of worldbuilding. He definitely serves as an inspiration to me. I haven’t read SoIF but I’ve heard great things about it and Elder Scrolls from Hello Future Me.
And in case it wasn’t obvious, I too have extensive worldbuilding, including popular things such as the rise of the darkness, the creation of the world, the end of the world prophecy, the lands of the dead, and of course, magic systems. Plus fun stuff that I am rather proud of such as how the races were divided.
Ahaha I started my fantasy world with the creation story in which the lone elder god (Arsakelaapan) springs out some other gods but Arsakelaapan doesn't know how to create or destroy so they become the sun and the moon. And then the other gods absorb some of their power and finish tue universe.
It's actually a lot more complicated than that but that's the creation myth.

The world isn't named, half the characters aren't named, I don't even have a story or plotline, but I'm already designing multiple species of animals

Well is there an antagonistic force for your characters? A villain, obstacle, force of nature, monster, antagonist, or a bunch of any of these?

'Gods', spirits, 'demons', magic systems.. I think I'm confident enough to call them the 'meat' of my world. The world itself is hard to explain all at once, but think of it as a dynamic place where the lines of fantasy and reality blur
