@gracehustle

Delia smiled in thanks as she made her way back to the apartment they were staying in, dumping the clothes on the edge of the bed and glancing at the still fast asleep Leo.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay was quiet, smiling slightly as he looked over at Leo. Leo was still fast asleep, laying on his side. Jay reached over and patted the puppy's side gently. "We definitely tired him out today." He commented softly.

@gracehustle

"Yeah," She agreed with a nod, sitting down on the edge of the bed with a sigh. Setting her crutches on the ground, she flopped backwards, careful not to hit Leo, "I think I tired myself out today too, there's way to many stairs in this building."

@gracehustle

Gently, she slipped her shoe off her uninjured leg before sitting up with a sigh and wiggling the other one off. "Still want that shoulder massage?" She asked half jokingly, looked over at him and cracking a small smile.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He chuckled. "If you're offering it still. And if I don't have to take my shirt off." He stretched, yawning slightly. He covered his mouth with a hand.

@gracehustle

"Of course you don't have to take your shirt off, and yes I'm still offering it." A small smile crossed her face and she swung her legs onto the bed, "You're going to have to move over here though, cuz' I'm not moving now that I have my shoes off."

@gracehustle

Delia nodded and started massaging his shoulders, working out the knots she felt, "No problem." It was sort of comforting to it, she was able to think and be useful at the same time.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He leaned into her hands slightly without realizing it, closing his eyes. His back was slightly tense, and there were odd, hard ridges running all over his skin, that could even be felt through his shirt. Scar tissue.

@gracehustle

The lines that felt quite a lot like scars were one of the first things she noticed, but she didn't mention anything. She didn't want to make him mad or pry into his past if he didn't want her too so she just kept working, humming softly to herself as well.

@gracehustle

Delia was silent as well, humming very quietly to herself as she continued the massage and saw the sun start to set through one of the windows.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay listened quietly for a bit. "Thank you." He said again. It had been…a long time since he'd even just felt someone else's hands. Which sounded creepy. He didn't mean it in a creepy way. It had just been a while.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He shrugged. "Different reasons. One, good or not, its a massage on my poor back. Two…this sounds strange, but…you have no idea how long it's been since someone else actually…was willing to make physical contact with me." He looked down at his hands.

@gracehustle

She was silent for a moment, thinking before she spoke softly, "I really don't mean to pry, but what happened up on the alien ship? I know I really haven't had any physical contact with anyone in a year or two now, but I have a feeling the ship has something to do with the whole willing to make contact with you thing."

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I was…" I need to tell her. Now is as good a time as any. "Have you heard any rumors about the Killswitch operation?" He said softly, looking at his hands. "Whether you have or not…" He sighed. "The aliens experimented on a lot of us. They put…programming in my head. Others, too. We're the exterminators, basically. When Killswitch is started, we…everyone like me…" He trailed off for a moment, biting his lip.

@gracehustle

Delia slowly stopped what she was doing as he explained, the dots connecting from the little information he gave her and what she had heard about. She silently nodded, clenching her jaw and sighing as she tried to not drop her hands off his shoulders in disappointment or anger, "You're here to kill the rest of us. I'm not going to jump to too many conclusions, but that's why you helped me isn't it? So when it's triggered you can just shoot me and move on."

@ElderGod-Icefire

"No." He protested. "I-I…until the programming is activated, I'm just like anyone else." His shoulders slumped. "I don't want to kill people. I don't want to kill you. But I won't be able to stop it. None of us can. None of the operatives…" His voice shook slightly. "When the Killswitch operation has been started, there is nothing any of the operatives can do to resist. To stop. I tried…" Everything. I tried everything and I couldn't stop it. "I'm sorry." He whispered, looking down at his hands.

(Lol i basically stole this from The Fifth Wave XD)

@gracehustle

(That's an amazing seiries so I don't blame you XD the ending made me mad tho, I didn't like how it just..ended. With nothing else.)
"No, it's fine," Her voice was strangely void of any emotions, her hands slipping off his shoulders and down to her lap, "I'm just going to have to get used to the fact that I have a lot less time to live than I thought I did." Glancing up at his back for only a second, she sighed and shook her head before swinging her legs over the side of the bed and pulling her shoes on. "No I'm not leaving for good, I just….need time to think…ill be back eventually." It took her a little bit to get her injured leg into her shoe, but once she did, she grabbed her crutches and headed out of the room.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(yesss XD omw same. It felt like there should have been another book or something)
Jay bit his lip. "I can leave." He said softly. "If you…if you think I should. It's okay." He looked down at his hands. -falling to his knees, blood everywhere. Blood everywhere. He took a shuddering breath.

@gracehustle

(YESSSS)
"No, you can stay, you're company, even if you might murder me in my sleep." She said before she left, not looking over at him as she went down the hallway and looked for a balcony. Eventually she found one in one of the other apartments on that level and leaned on the very rusty railing to think. Jay didn't seem like someone who was controlled by the aliens, but then again, she didn't seem like the kind of person to love dance and singing. She was supprisingly calm as she thought, face blank as she tried to think of the positives to Jay's company. He was nice, and good at hunting, funny, attractive -though she wouldn't admit it-, and if he did shoot her she would be able to see her family again, even her little brother.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay flopped down on the bed, closing his eyes. "I'm so sorry." He whispered, curling his arms around himself. "I'm so, so sorry." They're going to die. Humanity will die and its my fault. My fault and the others like me and I can't even kill myself to stop it.

@gracehustle

Delia sat and just watched the sunset for another hour or two, enough for her to come to the conclusion that she would never let them take earth without a fight. And the best way to fight back? From inside one of their ships.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay fell asleep, curled on his side, his pale hair falling into his eyes. In his sleep, he certainly didn't look like someone who would murder. His hair, however, was a constant reminder of the changes that had been made to him.

@gracehustle

Eventually, Delia sighed and headed back into the building. She quietly made her way back to the room with a new plan in mind as she slipped off her shoes and sat down. She quietly pulled her blanket out of her bag and glanced over at Jay, sighing before shaking her head and somewhat reluctantly throwing the blanket over him. He wasn't a bad person, just made into one by the aliens. With one final look over both Leo and Jay, she laid down and went to sleep.
