She left quickly and came back in with her other crutch under her arm as well, Leo trailing along at her heels as she walked in her poofy and beautiful dress. “Let’s hear this princess thing,” She said with a smile, knowing it was probably some weird little kid thing.

@gracehustle

Delia laughed and glanced at Jay, a bright smile crossing her face when she saw he was plugging his ears, “C’mon, it’s not that bad, I’ve heard worse.” She looked down at the pup and saw that he was having the same reaction as Jay, one of clear dislike, “The tune is kinda catchy, can’t deny that. But the whole lyrics thing is something else.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay groaned. "Noooo." He replied, sitting down and keeping his ears plugged. "I'm not getting up until the music is over." He said stubbornly. Leo whined.

@gracehustle

“Fine,” She said jokingly with another laugh, rolling her eyes and walking over to it to turn it off, “Whiny child.” With a quick flip of the on-off switch, the music stopped and she looked over at him, “Better?” Her smile was still on her face and she looked between the two of them, “Guess we’re gonna go look for a different CD.”

@gracehustle

Delia shrugged, glancing at him with a small grin, “That’s what you think. Mr. doesn’t like little kid songs.” She sighed and started wandering around the apartment, knowing there weren’t any CDs here, “Did you come across any in any of the apartments you checked?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He held up two. "Yeah. I have no idea what they are, but yeah." He said, setting them by the CD player. "Did you find any?" He asked, looking over at her.

@gracehustle

“No, there’s none in here, the people who lived here must’ve not liked CD’s, maybe they just used songs online.” She wandered over to the player and crouched down, picking up the discs with a little bit of maneuvering and looking at the covers, “One of these looks like some pop song artist’s thing, and the other seems to be old country songs. Those are always fun to listen to, they got a variety of slow songs and fast songs in old country music.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay sighed. "Neither of those sound particularly appealing. Oh well. Guess I'm picky." He chuckled softly. "The country one is fine, i guess.' he raked a hand through his messy, pale hair.

@gracehustle

“Otherwise we can go check for more,” She suggested, already popping out the first disk and replacing it with the country one. The disk of little kid music was put back into the country case and she looked up at him, waiting to see if she should play this one of if they were going to look for more.

@gracehustle

Delia cracked a small smile and shook her head, “You definitely didn’t live on a farm. At all.” She pressed play and stood up, waiting as the music started to play an old but mostly upbeat song with only a guitar as the background music.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay shook his head. "No, i didn't. I told you, I'm a city boy." He said with a small smile. "I grew up with pop, broadway, and alternative. Some rock, too." He shrugged.

@gracehustle

“Well, city boy, let’s hope we don’t find a disc with Don’t Stop Believin’ on it,” She joked with a grin, “Otherwise you’ll hear my amazing singing skills, and the whole first verse will all line up.”

@gracehustle

Delia shrugged, “If you’d like to, something a little more danceable would be nice.” She glanced down at Leo to make sure she wasn’t going to hit him as she started swaying side to side and humming along to the song she best she could.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded, and slipped out of the room to look for more CDs. Leo stayed well out of the way, head cocked to one side curiously as he watched her.

@gracehustle

With no one around, she felt more comfortable to dance and sing along to the words she could make out, so that’s what she did. The dress spun and swayed with her as she danced awkwardly with crutches, careful not to hit the puppy as she did so.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay kept looking, grabbing all the ones he could find before starting to make his way back. Leo watched her, curiously, wagging his tail slightly.

@gracehustle

She continued to hum along to the songs and dance as best she could, eyes closing with a smile as she loosened up and had some semblance of fun in forever. Delia didn’t even look for Leo, trusting that he would stay out of the way as she danced.

@gracehustle

His footsteps when he came back blended right into the song and she didn’t notice he was back, even as the song switched and she slowed her dancing for a moment until the next song started. This one wasn’t as upbeat and danceable as the other one, but she still managed, even doing little half steps around.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay smiled slightly, and set the CDs down as he watched her. Oh God…this is… He bit his lip. I'm going to kill her. Someday, i will kill her and i won't be able to stop it.

@gracehustle

After a few more steps she opened her eyes to glance at Leo, though slight moment caught her eye and she turned. Her face flushed bright red when she saw who it was and she cleared her throat, “How long have you been standing there?” She shifted around in on her feet and slowed her dancing back to swaying softly, watching as Leo trotted up to Jay and sat by his feet.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay smiled slightly. "A few minutes." He replied, trying to shake his thoughts away. It'll be just like…the final test…oh God I can't do this. He looked at the window for a moment.

@gracehustle

Her face flushed more and she looked to the ground with a small smile, embarrassed that the had seen her dancing goofily. “Did you find any more CD’s?” She asked, pausing the one that was going now so she could talk to him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay nodded, setting about five CD cases down. "Yeah." He replied, spreading them out so she could see. Leo barked softly, sniffing curiously at the boxes, wagging his tail.

@gracehustle

She looked down at them and tried to decipher what the cases said, only able to make out one, “I think this one is a older rock or just old songs?” Delia pointed to the one she was talking about and shrugged for the rest of them, “The others I can’t read well enough for sure, though the next one over might be Johnny Cash?”
